Grand fund raising competition! [18th September - 1st October]

Introduction:

"The numerous wars being fought around Sosaria are beginning to drain the Covian treasury. Unless new funds can be found quickly, forces on the ground will suffer from lack of equipment..."

Concept:

Over the next two weeks BoC members will compete to see who can donate the most gold to the cause. The winner of this competition will receive half of all gold donated by people taking part in this competition.

Rules:

1. Personal funds are not allowed to be used in this competition. All funds must be raised via BoC hunts.
2. All hunts should have a minimum of 3 members in addition to the hunt leader.
3. A short report of the hunt should be posted below.
4. Each hunt will raise a maximum of 25,000 gold. Anything over this will not be counted.
5. All gold being donated to the competition should be placed on the piles which are located on the church steps.

We went to collect feathers for the Grenadiers and Scouts as well as collecting gold for the treasury in Spirituality. We had to go the long way around, as those pixies kept attacking us, which was annoying. When we finally got to the nest, we plucked as many feathers and grabbed as much gold as possible. Once the entire nest was cleared, we had to trample all over them to get back out. And we were all absolutely covered in blood, eurgh.




We collected a total of around 14000 coins, and three thousand feathers.

As we entered the foul home of many an ettin, I covered my mouth.
Normally the stench of that damned cave is just about bearable, but today, it's smell could strip the bark from a tree!
Naturally we decided to take it out on the ettins, which we did with great gusto.
Deeper, deeper we went, until we were slaying trolls (One of Kals favourite hobbies i might add) and ogres. Then, before us lay the bridge to their greasy, maggot ridden lords....


Take this, and that, oh and this!

We battled hard and fast, until we were knee deep in ogre guts.
Not as pleasant as it sounds i can tell you.....

After a fair while slaying them, with expert teamwork and Covian swagger aplenty, we headed home, where Mela dismissed us and deposited the loot gathered into the barons worthy fund
