Mela rummaged through through the stores with a heavy frown t'would seem that the shadow ingot pile was lessening each day and by the end of the week there would be none left! Recruits running around in no armour was not an option, tis time to get those civvies and recruits working...

Afternoon Lady's and Gents!

Recently the stores have been running low on Shadow Iron ingots, and obviously this isn't acceptable since Recruits uniforms are made of it.

Task:
Collect 400 shadow iron ingots, anyway possible.
Overall we want 1000 Shadow Iron ingots

Notes:
You may do this with another person.
This may be done by a guardsman OR citizen.

Restriction's:
  • A report must be written as proof
  • You may only collect 400 ingots, no more, no less.

I could not believe this task was still outstanding.

Hmph! If i hadn't been so busy I would have done it singlehandedly *smirks*

Shadow iron eh? Off to the Covetous mountains I went.


My pack horse laden I made my way back to the forge and melted the ore down into ingots.


My work done I went to find someone to put the ingots into the stores.

No bare chested mining this time... It's too damn cold eh? *chuckles*

With the task to gather 400 Shadow Iron ingots only half done i set out to complete it!

It was freezing cold but once i get into my stride i soon warmed up!



After I had mined all the horse and I could carry I headed back to Cove to smelt down the ore into ingots.



There we are... Along with my previous effort that makes 400 Shadow Iron ingots!

After treating my poor old back with... care...
  I decided to try mining yet again. After all, itīs my main income. I grabbed my pickaxe and went for the mountains.

I Put two and two together, and reckoned, what the heck! Theyll use these ingots for smithing that armour any how.

Having been asked fer me trials to gather ingots I got together several pickaxes, strapped em to me back and headed for the mountainside near Covetous. 



It took me a fair while ter find the veins of shadow ore that I needed, two hundred ingots be a big amount if yer only finding ten or so ore at a time.  I were tempted to head into some of the caves cut into the mountainside but after 'earning some brigands be using them to camp in I thought otherwise and kept to the open.



Finally I 'ad enough ore and hauled it back to be smelted.



There yer is, two hundred Shadow ore ingots, freshly mined.
