Anne Rice is alright. Tolkien is great. Robert Jordan's also quite good (wheel of time), but he's losing his touch. Dumas (Count of Monte Cristo and Three Musketeers), Robert L. Stevenson (Treasure Island, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde amongst others), Dante (The Divine Comedy), Wilde (The Picture of Dorian Grey and too many other to mention) and Poe (Murders in the Rue Morgue is what I think is the title, and his poems) are all great.

Pratchett's good, I think their making a film of The Hogfather - why is Death climbing down chimneys shouting Ho ho ho?

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien - Silmarillion
Niklas Krog - A warrior's heart, A magician's strength, A ruler's soul, The great war of peace
Robert Jordan - The wheel of time

And of course, the permanently hilarious Terry Pratchett! Vive le Luggage!

I was a big fan of Raymond E Feist.
The Serpentwar Saga and the Krondor books were amazing.
I still actually haven't finished The Magician tho, lol!
I should really get on with that.

Raymond Feists magician series is excellent  Cheesy havent read any of his others yet though. The wheel of time series is great too but sometimes I wonder if Jordan will ever finish the series before he croaks...its getting a little longwinded.  Tongue
