How about a merit bow?
Say all archers of journeyman rank and above get a black dyed crossbow?
(presuming you can get dyes)
Or perhaps just a different colour sash or belt?

I really like the idea of the dyed crossbows if people do not abuse it.

I have a some dyed bows , a cross and a normal bow...problem is I dyed them and did not check the mods...the stupid asses had 40 luck on them!...can they still be used according to ROE?
If yes I would like to donate them...of course rp wise
