I have been playing on and off with dark nights. Especially on hunts, patrols and sentries. I find it more amusing and especially more exciting!
It adds a lot to the atmosphere, especially if one gets creep-ed up upon. It takes a lot of role playing to pull it off (playing with dark nights that is).

Just wondering if there are any others playing with dark nights in the guild!

Dark nights is found in the option panel. It makes the UO nights like real nights. (Really dark.) And light sources gets a real purpose.

Aye mate. That's the point! I know it leaves you at a disadvantage, but you are a bigger role player if you manage to role play with dark nights on in my book!
And it makes things more exciting Tongue

I play with Dark Nights at all times, except for major battles; unless ofcourse I forget to turn it off, than I just watch as everyone vanishes.

Tried that a couple of times. Might be fun, but my GPU was working for a week with burned-up cooling fan, which somehow damaged it and now I have the screen a bit darker, so I don't use this function atm.

I use it sometimes, aye.

I must admit it's very occasionally, but when I do it does make things a fair bit more interesting!

I think it's great except that not everyone uses it, so they have a huge advantage.

I dont quite get it, it makes sense in dungeons where there is no light and stuff, but well...i know alot of you dont venture outside the house, but outside under the moon at night, it isnt actully that dark

I use it sometimes - and it could be used more especially for hunts and plotlines to make things more atmospheric.
