Corporal Hoagie organized a patrol to the dungeon Destard today and assigned me to write the report. Our party left Cove in high spirits, setting out to hunt the most potent of prey - The ancient wyrm.
Once we had entered the dungeon, we moved as one unit down into the dungeon and gathered outside the ancient ones' lair for a briefing. We were told to employ a skirmishing tactic against the beast.
There were, of course, false starts. It is a powerful beast and I believe we may all thank our lucky stars we survived - If somewhat parbroiled. It was a powerful struggle, made no less easy by the ever present wyverns lurking around the ancient.
Of course, the conclusion was foregone as the finest of Cove felled the beast. Corporal Hoagie took a tooth and a claw of the beast as trophies and we assembled outside the now vacated lair for debriefing.
After a hearty cry of "For Cove!" we dispersed back to the barracks and distributed the gathered loot from the lair. A total of 2500 was given to each attending member.
