I've often wondered how people lay out their UO "Desktops": the screen and the black area, where you put things, etc. I for one am hyper organised and everything has its place.

What things do you simply have to have open? What don't you care about? Are you organised or chaotic? Show us!

I'd advise resizing the images if you can (some image hosts will do this for you if you can't). And tell us what resolution you're running!

S'mine; http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/4500/titjj9.png

The backpack circled in red isn't usually open I just thought I'd show you it all the same. I'm never sure why I have my spellbook icon in the bottom left, since I have pretty much every spell icon available too. The undyed runebooks in my backpack aren't usually there either, I'm waiting to transfer them to Jessica at the moment. Cheesy

(Hrm, s'a bit small when you click that link but you get the general idea)

I run my computer at 1280 x 960, so I have lots of "black space" on my client:

Heh, just noticed (in contrast to chaffers  Wink) that me and Kas both have uber tidy backpacks Tongue OCD ftw!

Edit: just noticed actually that the pic I posted has a load of looted crap in my backpack. It's usually very organised; the runebooks are the clue Tongue

After seeing Kas's backpack I am afraid to post mine...
(althought it's a well known fact that people with a tidy backpack are compensating!)

While I can't post my desktop at the moment, I'd like you all to know you all have freakishly tidy packs.

(Except Kazuo!  Cool)

I'm going to refrain from displaying the infamous Baronial organization, seeing as it's barely possible to find my cloak in there.

If I'm in a party or hunting I keep the hunt leaders bar next to my back pack and line the rest of them up along the bottom. Having a journal open means I don't miss a bandage hitting or chatter when RPing. I don't use UOA at all, but I've got a couple heal macros and weapon swich on my Fkeys.

And yes, my back pack is alwayes that discustingly organized.

I run my computer at 1280 x 1024, so I, too, have a lot of black space:

The area highlighted by a blue box is where I place the status bars of those in my party. The area highlighted by the red box is where I place the status bars of any key targets during battles.

Those two bags are highly organised, also. The bottom one may look crammed up, but all is accurately placed - nothing entirely overlaps anything, and I know where everything is.

Aye.

Krieger, you have a ton of extra junk in that second bag! Do you actualy use all of that during daily game play?

I think I carry so little 'cause I'm paranoid I'll die and compleatly lose my body. Not that there is much chance of that happening with a stealther... but still! I was a noob for years.

Absolutely!

- The hats are part of Desmond's collection which he displays regularly with pride.
- The different books include Covian law (and punishments for breaking them), an IC notebook, and most importantly, "The Beardle" - essentially an IC bible equivalent but on beards, and a work in progress. Desmond refers to this regularly on a daily basis, and all who know him IC will understand its necessity.
- The throne is whipped out most evenings while hanging around the barracks, to allow Desmond to rest his weary legs, usually while enjoying a puff of his pipe. The stool is a back-up, and is usually given to any friends in the vicinity so they may join him.
- The shirt (which in fact does overlap other clothes, only because I only put on those other clothes when the shirt is on anyway) is there for when Desmond needs to get out of uniform and adopt that civilian look. Or pirate look, as most comment.
- All those fish steaks are there for eating, believe it or not, and Desmond's choice of grub with his navy frame of mind.
- The recall scrolls are always in demand, for recalling!
- The bedroll and kindeling are for camping, and often come in handy.

Extra junk, you say!?
