After some brief introductions outside the barracks, Desmond Krieger ordered us up to the rooftop for a quick training session.
We assembled and lined up and were immediately ordered to strip! Not a nice experience for the girl who forgot to get a shirt... but thankfully I was saved by Marcus's quick attention to detail when he handed me his. Or was it Ihiniar, so many Tel'var's one cannot always tell!
A few laps round the rooftop to warm us up and some hardeous press-ups later, some brave enough to go one-handed no less, we were ready for battle.
Battle? Yes, apparently we were going to fight each other. We were split into two teams, with the aim of learning fighting techniques, forming up and most importantly healing our comrades.
My teams were not very successful, even with the late edition of Sean Greyson to out-number the other team. Still, he did go down faster than I! I learnt many things from this training session, as we all did.
But mostly I learnt not to go onto the Barracks rooftop without a shirt, and with less than an average skill in archery. I'll be ready for my next training session for sure.
Mr Krieger gathered us together at the end as we hobbled to line up and dismissed us in time for the promotion parade. All in all it was a very exhausting training session.
