So I forgot I turned off my subscriptions billing info in case I didn't have the money to pay for it when the time came so my account has been turned off.  I have the money but not the time so I'll be keeping it off for now and will be taking a break from UO as it is the rather slow time of the year, I'll try to start back for a bit around December but then I'll most likely close shop again until May.  This is all speculation and my plans may change but most people know how to get a hold of me and if you don't I'm on the ICQ list just if you add me tell me who you are as I do not add random people.  I'll still check the boards every so often too.

I came upon everyone running about in circles in the arena with a guy yelling at the elf to do the report and afterwards I ended up volunteering to do the report  which turned out to be for a training. The training started with a three versus three which quickly changed line ups and ended  fairly quickly.  Then there was a "toughness" training where we'd all beat on one person until it was our turn to get beaten on. After my turn Kado didn't want to stop hitting me so I had to lightning him.  

 

After that there was a free for all which everyone attacked me right off the bat so I had to run around healing and couldn't really do anything.

I learned that no matter what I do everyone will attack me First regardless if they know me or not and to never stand next to the Celt. Also Thanks to the person who gave me everyones name.

I'd been busy lately with research and various nondescript activities that I'd not gone on a patrol for nearly three weeks so I decided to round up a few people and head out to ilshenar to get some exercise.  Despite the small group I decided we'd head into blackthornes castle and kill a few of his advanced soldiers. We went about our way fairly quick and I quickly got to the door of the castle which I promptly knocked on to see if anyone was behind it.



There was no answer so we went through destroying the "Juka" as they came out to ambush us frequently and all died. We eventually killed two "betrayers" and decided to be on our way.



We came back with 12000 gold each of them took there share and I donated my own.

It was a slow day before Leanne's scheduled happenings so come time to rally there were very few people so we headed off to the lair of bone dragons because Leanne decided she wanted a trophy.  After setting up a formation with the walls to our back and a plethora of lava lizards to attack us Leanne went to lure the Bone dragon.  She ended up Luring a Bone drake Which I pointed out only after we killed it, she wasn't happy.  After several more attempts it seems the Bone dragons had been purged from existence and all that was left were bone drakes.  It seems trophy hunting did something right for the world killing off the necromantic dragons and leaving a lesser form that will most likely soon be wiped out too.





After cleaning up the mess in our way we headed back to cove and counted up the spoils, each person donated 2000 gold to the coffers and we were dismissed.

There are actually several pictures of my two oldest siblings in dog cages and significantly less but still some my me and my other brother in them as well.  Hazard of being the children of a Kennel owner/Dog breeder.  Lesson is Children love being in dog crates. Both my nieces went into one voluntarily.

With Corporal Ilyana pressuring me to get promoted I figured I should do something to make it happen, so I headed off to the orc fort where I was promptly greeted by a group of orcs who wanted to kill me.  I tryied to knock them out but I may have gone Over board And killed the whole species as none of them seemed to be breathing.  As I looked through the fort for a brute I was forced to purge the whole thing because they wouldn't leave me alone.



After I finally found a brute I had to lure it out of the fort so I could kill it without much bother, the whole process was fairly easy and it was done in about two minutes.  The hard part was getting the helmet off the orc as it died and fell into a slumped sitting position I couldn't reach its head.  That's when I had an idea I gathered up more orcs and lured them out of the fort and proceeded to slaughter them next to the brute and on top of each other eventually I had a staircase of orcs and was able to get the helmet.



After it was all said and done I'd found out the ordeal had ran me out of mandrake root so I was forced to leave with only 10023 gold coins which i put in the coffers.



I learned that orc brutes like to toss smaller orcs and that smaller orcs are natures step stools.

Even after giving a three days notice the turn out was pretty bad, You'd think they didn't care about the treaty we have with Vesper. Before heading out it seems Leith had found an orc rummaging around Cove who seemed to be able to use magic because after trapping it in a house and blocking the house off there was no trace of it.  We decided it must have magiced away and went back to gather for sentry, at gathering I told the group what we'd be doing which seemed to discourage them as nobody likes doing sentries.  Upon arrival I gave Nottinbury and Voulle the job of gathering wood while Kas got hides. Leith went off to check for booze and later scout around for orcs as the same orc came around on us in Vesper.



Eventually we got started on the actual sentry by that time Nottinbury had gone missing and Leith had asked to be dismissed due to other pressing issues.  During the building an injured Recruit came unable to do anything apparently having broken thumbs does that, so I sent him back to sleep it off. After building most of the Sentry myself there were only three of us, Kas, Voulle, and Myself at a very uneventful sentry post mostly making small talk.



Eventually Voulle asked and was dismissed after the arrival of Maccen Korten who seems to have lost an eye and suffered some burning since I last saw him, He'd evidently helped the yewish arrest some Vesperian bank robbers and suffered for it.



It was a rather uneventful sentry and while people should think of that as a good thing, boring doesn't attract people to the job.

After about a half hour waiting for the commander to recruit two new people we headed off for serpents hold to hear a lecture of healing and tactics.  Corporal Ilyana decided to go over tactics about how teleporting over fences could help which seemed to make everyone fall asleep because when it came time to actually do something nobody moved at all. Eventually we got split into teams one attacking one defending to practice healing each other. Eventually the exercise shifted to healing on the move where we had to heal each other while staying next to Corporal Ilyana.  By this time The Red Headed Regular had left.

 

We switched sides after failing around the first guard outpost and the other side started defending, That's when a bear hatted man showed up and joined our side to attack. After a short bit they failed too and Abi had to leave.



We ended with a free for all where after the pointy hat man fell everyone promptly targeted me for little reason and after a few minutes I fell and the end of the match quickly was determined with the bear hat man winning.



I learned that no one wants the mage to win the free for all

When I saw we had next to no flyers I went out to get supplies to copy some since I carry a flyer of my own I was able copy from that instead of relying that there'd be a flyer left to copy.  After getting the supplies I sat down at the barracks and got to work.



A good fifteen minutes of writing and a few frustrating ink blots later I was done. I'd copied thirty flyers and put them in a bag but seeing as it'd be more of a hassle to put all the flyers in the existing bag than just switching the bags and putting the six or seven remaining flyers in the bag I'd filled.

After being called to line up by the commander he told us we were going to go do training in the field, so we ran to the field in cove and he teamed us up to climb up the cliff side.  I'd never climbed a cliff before so needless to say I couldn't get up but that's when the female recruit told me to bend over and she used me as a stepping stool!  Needless to say she was heavy and a little rough also I think she was wearing cleats, WHO WEARS CLEATS! after the initial shock of so being mistreated she pulled me up.  After I got up I spotted an apple tree and got hungry so I summoned some food, it was an apple I think granny smith but I'm not sure it was a bit to yellow to be a granny smith and was sweeter than one too.

 

After the Commander called us down he Paired me with Kas to try to tackle himself to the ground after a long ten minute we finally got the commander down he then pair me up against the male recruit to fight in fist combat Immediately he picked up dirt and threw it AT ME!  What kind of way to fight is that, I was going to kill him or anything but he threw dirt in my eyes and then he had the nerve to try to kick my groin! I immediately countered by picking up a carrot and Shoving it down his throat which made him back off I then picked up another carrot and tryied stabbing him but the commander broke it up soon after the great carrot shiv was complete.



I learned that carrots make good weapons and never trust someone to not kick you in the nuts.
