1  Element boards / Completed Citizen Tasks / Re: Urgent: Militia Uniform Supplies running low on: July 24, 2007, 03:43:19 pm
Once I 'ad the ingots I were meant to make some weapons with them for the supplies.  I started off making a load of kryss and then realised I were running very low of ingots so smelted some of them ter make sure I 'ad enough to make the other weapons.

I managed ter make 10 kryss, 8 warforks and 6 waraxes for the stores though, so better than nowt.   *eyes his picture and mutters about the error*

Having been asked fer me trials to gather ingots I got together several pickaxes, strapped em to me back and headed for the mountainside near Covetous.

It took me a fair while ter find the veins of shadow ore that I needed, two hundred ingots be a big amount if yer only finding ten or so ore at a time.  I were tempted to head into some of the caves cut into the mountainside but after 'earning some brigands be using them to camp in I thought otherwise and kept to the open.

Finally I 'ad enough ore and hauled it back to be smelted.

There yer is, two hundred Shadow ore ingots, freshly mined.

Decided I best settle down to getting this done so I started on the caps and bandanas this morning.

Caps and Bandanas

I decided terday to set about making the caps and bandana's I been asked ter make for me trial.  I already had some cloth dyed to the proper colour an' shade so I used that for them.

Took me a little longer than normal ter get it all done as I 'ad a request to make another set of leather armour in between.  An' we got attacked by some thugs An' was just generally kept busy.

Finally the amount needed was finished all ready to be added to the stores.

6  Element boards / Citizen Board / Armour for Kas Valentine on: July 19, 2007, 07:40:36 pm
I were checking on me trades vendor when I got approached by Kas holding the reins to a pack llama.  Said the packs contained a great amount of leather an' he wanted me to make him a set of armour that'd suit an Arcanist.

Being tha' the armour were all there ready to be used I agreed an' set to work on it, I used a mixture of horned and barbed to make sure it were study enough against melee blows an' also to withstand attacks from other mages.

After spending a great amount of time putting the peices together in the right thicknesses I had the suit ready.  Kas seemed to be mightly pleased with it an' I hope it does him well in his future battles.

Well we got the Diamond thanks to Mercy and a couple of guards, including that lass I recruited, knew she'd come in handy.

It then left me to head to Kendall Mountains to find the gold.

Took me a while finding the right vein, in the end it turned out ter be inside the mountain itself.

Once I dug up enough gold to be able to make a ring I headed back fast to Cove and picked up the Diamond from Mercy.

Got everything needed now, just need to find out what design an' such be needed for the actual ring.

10  Element boards / Citizen Board / Repairs, Halberds and Recruits on: July 09, 2007, 12:03:44 pm
I thought I'd see if anyone were needin' repairs before the parade.  A fair few 'ad already lined themselves up but I managed to catch a couple, one of which was that Dragoon Sergeant Hoagie, his armour were in a right state.

First off though this Watchman wanted his sword sorting out, were a fairly simple job, just required me to heat the sword up in the forge a bit and give it a good ole hammering.

Next up were that Hoagie and every bit of his armour needed repairing, took me a while sorting all that out so by the time I were done there weren't much time for me to repair anyone else's.

Instead though I had this pretty young lass ask me for a halberd so I ran an' got me dull copper ingots out the bank and set about making her one.  Had to run round the woods trying to find 'er though.

So then I gets to stand with me fellow citizens at the parade and find two more recruits without halberds, well one of 'em had one but it were too heavy for her to carry.  So off I went and made a couple more for them.

After the parade which my dear cousin Mercy got promoted in, well deserved I reckon and she were even given the Baron's own cap.  An' that Commander said she were special, always knew she'd go a long way.  Anyhow getting off track here.

So the Boss Qom said we were to head to Haven and gather us some recruits, so off I headed.  Talked to a few people who only showed a mild bit of interest when out the corner of my eye I spotted this lass looking like a ranger.  Lovely long brown hair tied in a ponytail and.. Anyway I walked up to her and she said she wanted to learn about archery.  Well I know we were there for recruiting citizens but I couldn't let this one slip past.  Anyway I handed her a leaflet and explained about Cove, told her where to find us and all.   Not long after that Qom said it were time for us to leave so we all headed back, anyway bit later that evening Mercy came and told me the lass had joined up.  So I were mighty proud of meself and reckon she'll do well too cause I can spot em I can.  Been in this trade long enough now... *trails off*

Log chopping in Cove
Jacob Greyson
Logs Gathered - 500

I 'ad planned to chop these logs a few days ago bu' got caught up in some other business, any how.  I sharpened me axe blade and set about on the woods in the early mornin' before most people be up and managed to chop quite a nice amount of logs needed for the quota.  I then shaved em down into manageable boards so they were all tidy like.

Gathering Wheat from Moonglow
Jacob Greyson
Wheat collected - 20 sheafs

As all us civilians have been given this task to keep the Barony in food I thought I might as well do my part.  Not that I'm a farmer or nowt.  I started by making meself a Scythe and heading to those wheatfields in Moonglow where I knew some wheat grew.  Taking me packhorse I set about gathering a load of the wheat and tying up into sheafs.

Took a fair while to gather it and managed to bundle up twenty sheafs in all.

13  Element boards / Completed Citizen Tasks / Re: Important - Ingots needed on: June 28, 2007, 03:19:59 pm
Thought I'd 'ave a go at some mining round em Cove mountains and see what I could get.  Pity I didn't find much in dull copper which were what I was aiming for, but 'en those mountains ain't exactly all that big.

Anyhow's heres a list of what I did get.

Iron Ingots - 736 (Not bad if I do say so meself)
Dull Copper - 75 (Bloody shame that, were only four little veins of it)
Shadow - 37 (Make a coupla swords at least)
Copper - 65
Bronze - 41 (Few arms worth for em Grenadiers)
Golden - 47
Agapite - 33 (Dunt wanna wear that pink stuff anyway)
Verite - 15 (Where practically nowt of this one)

So there's yer have it.  Guess I'll have to travel further afield for any worthy amount of ingots.

Taking a look at the task board I noticed this one had been left uncompleted for a while so figured I'd set about doing some work for it.  I headed out to Britain to see if any scrap items had been left around the bank and then towards the north to the Blacksmiths.  To my luck I found a large stash of valourite warforks, a bit badly made so I set about smelting them down.   With the ingots I made up some of the required weapons.

Starting off with the kryss, they can be a bit fiddly with all them twisty bits.

After finding some sturdy wooden staffs I set about fixing the spearheads to them.

Finally I made up a batch of warforks with nice sharped points.

Hope these weapons be to a good enough standard for the division.

Seeing that I was running low on my supply of leather I asked my dear cousin Mercy to help.  She generously gathered over 300 peices of leather to make the sets with.

Once I had the leather I set about sewing up the parts that were needed to make the sets.
