I recently reinstalled UO to fix a problem with it patching (and not letting me log in). Since then I've noticed that a lot of the graphics have reverted back to super old stand-in graphics possibly due to using a Second Age CD. Check it out....



I'll grab some more if I see any ! Grin

Bingo! Patching only updates your server files and allows you to play online with others; all artwork and graphics are, however, held on their respective disks. So, have fun seeing coloured animals for Ilshenar+Malas+Tokuno+Legacy monsters! Wink

Bwahaha, I used to have the same 'purple llama' thing... I wondered for ages why people were riding on purple llamas, though when they actually turned out to be giant blue beetles it hardly lessened my confusion...

I've since discovered that due to effectively running via Second Age I can't access Malas, Tokuno or Ishywishy. I'll sort it out at some point by downloading the ML client but for now where am I likely to find the highest concentration of new graphics? Grin

Just buy the 9th Anniversary pack, thats what i got, has UO and all the expansions in one Smiley, or yes if you download ML client that is most recent expansion and will update all your graphics

I think he means where can he go within the limitations of Trammel/Felucca, that has a load of 'new monsters' that're gonna have old skins.

You can download ML pretty painlessly. Try www.uodivinity.com and then go to join us. They host the client.

Thank you Shadders, aye I downloaded the ML client yesterday to assist in the hunt for young Vince so unfortunately my disco is now at an end. People seemed to be getting the wrong end of the stick anyhow, I loved my archaic dodgy graphics, curse you Mondain's Legacy.....

What I miss the most is the old music. At least before ML you could just rename the Digital folder and the old music would be played, but these days... *Sigh*
