Prove Your Worth: Gabriel Drachen

Watchman Drachen, you have had your rank suspended temporarily in order to prove you're worthy of being a Junior Guardsman, setting an example to the Baronship's Recruits and Watchmen. Your offense has been classified as a lack of discipline within the main block. As the Sergeant of said block, your task is to rectify these offences.

The Task

You shall go alone to wander the lands of ilshenar with nothing but the bare minimum equipment. Whilst there, you must slay anything in your path.

Requirements:

*You must travel far and wide from each Virtue's Shrine.
*Ten different species of monster must be slayed in total.
*At least one species of monster must be slayed near each shrine.
*A report of each slaying and your overall performance shall be written in a full written report.

Good luck, Watchman. When this has been completed, you must obtain your badge from me, displaying your report. If I am not present upon the event of completion, you must seek out either the Commander or Grenadier Sergeant to retrieve your Junior badge. Any less than this rank will be insufficient.

I started my Journey from The Spirituality Shrine and headed north. My first hostile encounter was with Harpies at a nest. I battled the creatures just fine until a golden one made of stone decided to try and ruin my day. Deciding it wasfar too powerful to fight I outsmarted it. I led it into a forest full of pixies and Ki'rin. Needless to say these creatures dealt with the creature for me.

Heading Northwest I soon found my way into a forest full of Angry trees, Trolls, and Spiders. I battled my way through this forest thick of beasts killing at least one of each creature and even a Golden troll to boot. As I exited the northern border of the forest I found myself now heading across a bridge through a pass. In the pass I encountered a Wyvern and a Frost Troll, Who I may add probably wish they never encountered me. Further in I was soon in a snowy area where I killed an Icy spider and Snake...just because they looked at me funny.

Heading North from there I made my way through another pass heading towards The Compassion Shrine. On my way I dealt with a few Gargoyles and Ratmen till I finally arrived at the Next Shrine....

As I continued my journey from The Compassion Shrine I headed South Then West through a cave. I found myself dealing with a deranged wolf and a Savage riding a beast. After dealing with them I travelled into the swamps. There were many creatures there but I only managed to deal with a giant deformed slime as the other creatures assaulted me in large numbers keeping me from getting any sketches.

As I moved more West I soon found myself near pools of lava surrounded by Earth Elementals. I easily dispatched these creatures and continued my Journey North. I found myself in a desert filled with unsavory creatures. I dealt with an Air Elemental and decided to take a Rest Stop in The Gargoyle city there. The rest was not too amazing...considering their beds were made out of Stone..

Continuing after resting I continued my push north through the desert killing a few creatures on the way. a Sand vortex, Efreet, Mongbats, and a Golden Scorpion were victims of my unstopping journey. Further north I found myself in yet another valley with lava in it's center. On my way I was stopped by a few earth elementals, Imps, and a fiery lizard. They were easily dealt with and I soon found my way through a cave.

Heading south from the cave I soon found myself at The Honor Shrine. I moved South from the shrine taking out a few gazers. The real fun came when I found myself heading southwest into a forest. The forest was filled with Vermin! It was alot to deal with but I managed to bring down droves of these slimes, rats, and lizardmen!, Gold and non alike!

Seeming to be the peak of my adventure through the forest I headed west till I found myself at The Humility Shrine. I decided to take a moment to go restock my Reagent supply as the journey had seriously diminished the supply I  had set out with. Upon my return I decided to head  back through the forest east to make my way through the Jukan filled jungle on my way to Honesty....

Since I seem to have lost the sketches of this part of my journey I have decided to leave a sketch of me blasting a lizardman!





I discovered some of the Sketches in shreds near the location I was in. I have them here. Also found a strange moongate in one of the buildings near Honor. Very odd....

At this point my adventure gets a bit hectic as I was killing things more than I was actually walking. I travelled South by Southeast through The jungle and encountered droves of creatures. Of which  I will list here...

After what seemed like an endless amount of time in The Jungle I soon found my way out and to The Honesty Shrine. I did not stay long and once again doubled back heading North. I travelled back through the jungle and past the gates of Mistas towards The Justice shrine. On the way I dealt with droves of Headless and Angry Trees. Of which there were so many  I didn't get a chance to get sketches of their ill fates. But after yet another stop to restock my Reagent supply I set off North from Justice to loop around the mountains..

As I came around I headed south once again to get to The Sacrifice Shrine. On my way I came across a few landmarks. A well and an odd tree being the most interesting.  I also came across a golden deer...which I killed because hey...we all know we want to know what golden deer tastes like. As I came to The shrine of sacrifice I passed a rather old looking Meer which I greeted politely. I would have cleared out more creatures near Sacrifice..but all I encountered were The Meer and they a re not evil creatures therefore I did not harm them.

Using The Moongate this time as travelling on foot to the next shrine would have been suicide. I found myself To The Chaos Moongate. As I exited it I was assaulted by Stone Gargoyles. Heading South across a bridge more stone creatures attacked me with the assistance of a few hellish hounds. After a drawn out fight...mostly me running in circles while bombarding them with magic...while screaming like a girl. I soon found my way to the Shrine of Chaos. I took a small rest here since it was astonishingly safe.....

After my time at Chaos I slunk back through the moongate to visit the final shrine. I stepped out at Valor and trekked south into the forests. I killed a few gazers including an old looking one. Further south  I encountered Giants, Cyclops and Titans specifically.  After all the adventure there I dragged myself back to the gate and FINALLY brought myself back to Cove to count the spoils of my victory.

All in all I came back to cove with 32,622 Gold coins that I collected all on my own. I hope this is enough to please The Officers as I am NOT going back there again. Truthfully no person even of my skill should be going on such a mission as it was far too dangerous, I am lucky to be alive.
