Raiden had us perform several duties which I have listed below my expertly drawn portrait of the evening.....
- Equipment check: Most of the equipment was in order but one or two guardsman had to be provided with bandages and bedrolls. The recruits also got into a fight over the subject of some stolen items so Raiden had to step in. The matter was swiftly resolved by sending both brawlers on a run to Cove gates.
- Run across the wall: We were marched to town and told to strip down to our uniform. Once we had shed our armour we had to do six laps of the Covian wall. Celuvian won by a large margin, fellow sure is fast, the recruits also got up to some kind of japes that kept them at the back of the group.
- Figure of eight race: Not convinced that the run of the walls had done us any good Morana also had us run several laps of a carefully constructed course in Cove field. The path we were to take around his obstacles wasn't entirely understood so there was a lot of bumping into one another and tripping up.
- Whack the mountain: Next on the list was whacking the great Covian mountains. We did this for quite a while until suddenly a giant verite elemental broke out of the rubble and I blacked out from the blows. When I came round the other guardsman had taken care of the brute and we continued with our mining.
- Free for all: The evening was finished with a free for all which ended in a draw between Celuvian and Raiden (tough buggers).
With the training session at an end we were swiftly thanked, dismissed and sent on our way.
