Inquisitor Odenetheus,

I trust Avatar hath blessed thee with good health, my son.

I was approached by a guardsman who informed that this Delferium had handed himself in, that he was wanted by the Church.  Alas, I had only just returned to Cove after a long Pilgrimmage away and so had not read this warrant.

I spoke to this Delferium and it doth appear his main sin is that of ignorance.  To my disgust, the cell which he occupied was fitted with a degree of comfort I found most unseemly, and so I released him unto the custody of Sergeant Hoagie, to prevent him from malingering.  He was ordered to present himself to you upon thy return.

In the meantime, I shall remedy this ignorance in the ranks with a series of sermons and practical exercises.  I am saddened that the practice of self-flagellation hath fallen out of favour and will seek to remedy this.  I understand a Father Siegfried hath taken over from Sir Hugo and hath assumed Stewardship of the Covian Church.  I shall confer with him and together I am confident we shall divine Avatar's Will.  There is much work to be done.

In Nomini Deus,

Father Reynard Destain
Bishop of Cove.
