(The following is an extract from Raiden's memoirs and is OOC information and should be treated as such unless of course you were actually involved in the various parts of the story described below.)

~ ~ ~

The Templar Lemaitre stomped as he clambered the ladder to the upstairs snug at the Green Goblin. I was just making Railen comfortable after her recent ordeal as he entered. I think we could both sense his displeasure as he glared at us through his visor. He demanded that I meet with him in the church with due haste to discuss a matter of urgency before voicing his disgust at me "cavorting" with a female from the Swaggerlands.

I was about to tell him that as a Company officer it is both my duty and privilege to take a woman in need into my care, but the bugger had already clambered back down the ladder. Poor lass, she's visited Cove these last few nights and been mugged, had her nose broken and now been shot by an orc bowman for her troubles. I dunno why she bothers returning here... *shifty eyes* She must like the rum.

~ ~ ~

As I left the tavern to head to the church I literally bumped into Arel. She signed her displeasure at me being with "yet" another woman. I hope she realises how much I care for her. How much I've always cared since the first day she walked into the barracks. Her timing is god awful though. There's always been something in the way, maybe there always will be, but it doesn't stop me caring for her, yet I feel she thinks me some kind of beast.

In an even fouler mood than I already was I entered the church to speak with Lemaitre. He cast accusations at me for speaking ill of churchmen and conspiring to blow up Stone Keep whilst I was visiting the tavern recently. I reminded him that I'd spent half my life in the service of Cove and much of that time training with explosives with a view to blowing up Stone Keep, but he still seemed to treat it as some sort of crime. Maybe he needs reminding of which Chapter of the Church he serves, looks like his sympathies lie in the west and not the north to me.

I then declared that I had no knowledge of speaking ill of churchmen (though I had consumed a lot of rum on the eve in question) and that perhaps his informant wasn't as good as he thought he was. At this the bastard backhanded me across the cheek. I reeled and grabbed for his surcoat, thrusting my knee viciously at his groin. He took the blow heavily on his thigh but I think my actions as well as me telling him that if he ever struck me again he would die hard got my stance on the matter across well enough.

To the Templar's surprise I then tithed the gold Railen had given me and left cursing him darkly. Who does this bugger think he is? While the Preceptor's away the mice shall play eh? Well this bugger best watch his step.
