Realizin' I'd been pestering Recruits to do their tasks, but had two of my own that needed doing, I decided to do something really heroic; do both at once! I had Fizzles wytchgate us to the dungeon Shame, briefly lectured the men about fighting by torchlight, and then led them into the cave!
Navigating through the dark was a bit difficult at first, but Dr. Jones was able to keep track of our route via leaving a chalk line on the walls. We descended to the third level of the caverns, carving our way through everything before halting before a citadel from which arcane chantings could be heard. Having already sent Recruit Dah'Han back to clear our escape route, and with Recruit Aliryl reporting that she was exhausted, I opted not to storm the Citadel.
Our objective of 20,000 shillings and 2 of each type of gem had already been achieved, regardless. We worked our way back out of the caves and back to Cove, where we divided up the loot (500 for each of us, 20,000 to the Coffers) and I dismissed the squad.
