After placing some banners I took a short break, then headed ta the barracks and checked the task board...."bashing brutes", eh? Sounded like fun! So I bought a pack horse from the rancher in Cove and headed towards the orc fort. I tied off the pack horse 'bout halfways there and crept up, much as one can wearing full ring-mail armor, ta the orcs fort.
I picked off a few sentrys then headed inta the fort proper lookin fer a brute....had ta do a little more fighting wit the various regular sized orcs, but after awhile I spotted one of 'em brutes and got 'em ta chase me outside the fort....knew the brute would be tough one on one and nay wanted 'em gettin help from 'is buddies!
T'was a good fight, me Covian made armor held up well and me sword pierced 'is armor over and over, finally fellin the beast! I looted 'em and hid the ore in some brush and went searching fer another brute...didn't take long, one was hidin near one a their sentry towers.
Did much the same, basically skirmishing wit it as I knew I could nay stand toe ta toe wit a foe that punishing. After another long battle (dusk had begun ta settle), I was able to slay the brute and hid the ore. Had ta go back inta the fort for number three...also had ta fight a good number of 'is mates but eventually I lead 'im back outside and got 'em one on one. When I felled 'em a fourth Brute burst out a no where...nay had time ta catch me breath!
Wit a good bit a luck I took 'em down too, moved the ore from the two of 'em to were I had hid the rest, moved it a ways away from the fort got me packy and took the ore and loot ta the barracks!
