On Monday evening I made me way inta Cove and was surprised when I couldn’t find anybody about, I’d later learn that a couple a folks was in some meetin’, so I set about constructin’ a sentry ta the north-east a the graveyard. Took me a bit ta set it up and after stablin’ me pack horse I made me way back inta town, checkin’ first the barracks, which was empty, and then the Goblin, which was really full!
I asked what was goin’ on and after hearin’ a little about some meetin’ I asked fer a few volunteers ta help me pull sentry duty. Valkur quickly jumped up and offered ta go along and then the Sergent agreed ta lend a hand, as did Torrak and Leander!
We made our way ta the sentry post and got settled in, t’was a bit cramped but we made do. I asked if’n anyone was up for a game a dice. The Corporal and Leander needed ta go get some coin and shortly after they left we was joined by Celuvian Haap and Kado Gael .
A few of us strated playin' some dice, high roll wins, ten gold a round.
About half of us had rolled when outta the woods stepped what looked ta be two monks. We quietly observed ‘em but the stink a the bastards caused one a us ta sneeze, making ‘em aware a us. They’d been talkin’ bout setting the sentry a fire anyways, so we rushed out ta confront ‘em. Sneaky bastards that they were they musta cast through the spy-holes and knocked-out Haap. The rest a us took after ‘em and eventually fell ‘em. Sergent Hoagie and I had gone off after one of ‘em and after knocking ‘em and pulling back his hood we discovered ‘im ta be some kinda a undead skeletal thing….I was caught off guard but Hoagie quickly reacted and started stompin’ on the thing, shatterin’ all it’s bones….he didn’t leave much ‘cept a pile a splintered bones.
We made our way back ta the sentry where Haap was back on ‘is feet. We all settled back down fer some dicing. Celuvian wasn’t inta gamblin’ but Kado joined in. People were coming and going. Keres and Leander came back, while Celuvian went ta look about. After a while Keres and Kado had ta run so those of us that were left decided ta do a patrol a the graveyard.
Hoagie, Valkur, Leander, and Celuvian and I all headed over to the graveyard and made short work a the undead roaming about there. The Arcanists taking down a row a undead outside the fence which included one lich by themselves, then four or five of us pounced on another lich within the cemetery as soon as it showed itself. With nothing left moving ‘cept for The Company we hupped back ta the barracks and made a pile a the loot collected from the undead which went inta the coffers.
I thanked all present for helpin’ me with the sentry and dismissed ‘em.
