Repair Hour Reports

Spud Goodsoup and I offered free repairs at the Memorial Square this afternoon before the Parade. We had a very good turnout, and I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the new recruits, and welcoming the Commander and now-Officer Cadet Trefynwyd.

Good company and proud work. It's a pity the town's crafters don't spend more time together... perhaps this is a step towards changing that?

It was grand indeed to see the Memorial Square bustling with folk. Perhaps a regular repair time before parade would be something fer ye crafters ter consider.

Mr Goodsoup and I again offered free repairs and supplies before the parade this evening, to another good turnout.

From here on out, I plan to turn up at the Square for an hour of repairs before each Sunday parade. More helping hands are welcome, of course! T'would be grand to have a fletcher along.

The craftsfolk of Cove have been gathering at the Memorial Square every Sunday eve to repair arms and armour for the soldiers (and now and then to share cookies).

Mai Holzfee and I are always happy to have more helping hands. This week Mr Calavera joined us, and walked away a cow richer...

A few sketches from past Repair Hours...




A busy hour on the 24th of May, led by myself and Maibaum. High spirits all 'round. We were able to properly welcome Railen Morana to our town.




On the 7th of June, hosted by Manuel Calavera (report above) and attended by myself and Maibaum. A quieter evening, soldiers and crafters alike more interested in the treats Jessica Spindlewood had brought along than tending to rips & dents.




The 14th of June, afore the Army's march upon Britain. Many of our soldiers came to get their gear polished up, but kept quiet & to themselves... caught up in thinking on the battle to come I suppose... 'til Sergeant Keres called them to a quick drill. Maibaum arrived just in time to look after a crossbow and see them all off.

This Sunday evening I was at the Memorial Square aiding guardsmen with repairs before their parade. Sketches of some of my services are below:

Hoagie's shield was completely bashed, probably from all the dragons he slays, I was able to hammer it back into shape.

Kal Shadowhand's armour was full of holes and required repairs.

Delferium required a new longsword, his previous one was ''rubbish''.

Another week at memorial square. Word spread to me that Penny was unable to attend again so I setup repairing guardsmen's armour and weapons, it was quite busy this evening. Once again below are sketches by a local artist from this evening:

Recruit Tsukiyomi Mori required a
bandanna to have its holes repaired.

   

Womaniser Kas Valentine required
his armour to be repaired. Damage probably
due to women trying to rip it off!

   

Mercy came by with general repairs
needed to her leather armour.

Scout Corporal Aliryl Trefynwyd needed
her Green's repaired.

   

The Corporal also required a new Kryss,
all the poking of dragons and scouts had
caused her old one to become worn.
