After gathering the men up at the Barracks, we headed out to Altmere to the fortifications at "Fort Keres" (I swear I didnt name it). I then sent word to Vesper, inviting their militia to attend the training. After a handful of Militia and Stirling/Kendalls had arrived, we organized into teams.
Several rounds of brutal fighting later, the following had been learned;
- A group of four axemen is a deadly thing.
- Melee fighters are much more useful in an indoor fight than archers or mages.
- We STILL need to work on targeting.
All in all, the men did fairly well. Although the defending team invariably lost, several of the round were very close. We finished up with a round of Axers vs. Shields vs. Archers and Mages....
...which the Axers won overwhelmingly.
