As one slow night As I was cleaning and finished early with that, I looked  for something to do.
I realized we had no inventory of our food stocks. So with a piece of charred wood from the
fireplace and some parchment, I filled the wee morning hours taking inventory...

Thank you Kelly for taking inventory of our stock and noting it down for our Ledgers.
More Quiche would be excelent for breakfasts. I will check and insure we have plenty of ingredients by next weekend.

After seeing that we were low on quiche and after that smelly "attack" I made some quiches.  58 to be exact.  I wrote it down in the List and took away from the list the eggs that i used.  We should be stocked with enough quiche for now, I hope.

Sir & Ma'ams,

I leave this for ye regarding the bouncers uniforms. I'll say I can wear any colours ye put me into save pink! But as for amrour. . . no metal please no metal! I've me own leather set and if its colours ye want I'll have it dyed. I'm nay weak but I'm more used to supple leather than hulking steel. Besides if I use me own armour ye nay have to purchase anything. . . its a win-win I says!

Kiran,

I hired Kelban to keep watch the same week Raiden was sent by the Baron to recover. Lacrima has been severely injured and Kelban has been keeping watch over her- so currently our two bouncers are out of commission.

That said there was another attack on the Goblin this evening. Someone had hidden explosive traps with nails in them around the Goblin entryway. Two people were wounded, one seriously. The Grenadiers have taken it upon themselves to sweep the area often for any traps or explosives.

When you return, keep your wits sharp and crossbow close. Report any suspicious activity immediately to a grenadier or guard.

Sincerely
~Rai

Dear staff, Railen and Penny.

I have been told now that I should be fine to once more actively be able to tend the bar. As you might all be aware not one week ago I was shot in the shoulder by bandits whom attacked out tavern.

http://cove.sugeworld.com/forum/index.php/topic,12841.0.html

Dealing with the threat

Other events followed this of course which have seen some of our civilians and guardsmen send to hospital shredded to bits. I am currently aware you are all fearing for your well being and I can only encourage you all to be more vigilant and aware of your surroundings when serving or working within the Goblin. To help encourage safety and a more vigilant staff I will have our doormen work full time now. I am hoping to have uniforms delivered within the week for them and also to hire more staff to protect our patrons and staff. I have taken the liberty of hireing a sketch artist for fourty eight shillings to draw myself in what I envision our doormen should look like in uniform, whether male of female.

This however is more for your consideration, Railen, if you agree with it or think of some adjustment please say as soon as possible, this is so I can get the local craftsmen to work on the uniform.

Also, this goes for you, the staff, I am hoping to have some weighted staff and small knifes bought for our tavern so we have them in case of emergencies, I will be keeping my crossbows closer at hand regardless. Please however, I advise you to be cautious. Currently our Doormen are, Kelban part time, Lacrima full time and Maccen Korten full time. However if you have any concerns or know anything please don't hesitate to speak to either Railen or myself as we are also here to ensure your safety.

Keeping numbers.

I have bad news, with the current damages and goods being not delivered to our tavern, our numbers are reaching the red once more, I do believe for our tavern to continue to prosper and be able to continue trade we need to think of borrowing coin from our own Baron, and I am talking soon as I am finding it hard currently to just get our basic ingridients for our cooks in at the current war prices. We also need to replace furniture which have been damaged and clean the wear and tear from the outside of our tavern, currently the decay is not doing well to uphold our reputation as a fine uphold establishment.

Dealing with the danger.

As I have stated, be cautious, however myself and a few individuals are seeking out the culprits and will be reporting to the Guardsmen soon as possible. Sadly all leads to Jierdan, the Swaggers Manager. This does not bode well as most of our trade with rum and ale are delivered to the Swaggers and then traded onwards to us, so expect shortages if nothing else.
I am going to start private classes for any of you barmaids or bartenders who wish to know how to defend themselfs, come speak to me in private as I do have if nothing else, experience in how to deal with unruly customers. This is the same for bandits. I will also speak to the Captain and Commander about more patrols and including local citizenry in the Guardsmens trainings, perhaps even borrowing some armour for our daily needs. Again, I will need your approval before I do any of this Railen.

I do hope you are all aware of the danger we face in the coming days and are heeding my warnings.

Stay safe and out of danger.

Another 170 shillings are awarded to Mr Kiran for his detailed ledger-entries.
60 shillings are awarded to Mrs Morana for her careful note-taking.
35 shillings paid to Ms Kelly Corvida, for her exhaustive inventory.
10 shillings paid to Miss Mizuho Kazami, for her contribution.

And if you could please between you detail how much gold you believe you will need and for what, I will see what I can do about securing new funds for the Goblin.

Dear Penny.

As I am currently on the orders of the Scout Corporal to excuse myself from current working in the tavern I should think I can still look through some of the books.

What we need to currently borrow stands at a outstanding five thousand three hundred and fifety shillings to exchange old furniture, restocks and general repair and wages owed to the staff. It is quite a extravegant ammount, but if less was asked for it would not in earnest get us back unto full operation. I am currently unable to help with the repairs and beeing seen publicily to be involved so I am happy to help behind the scenes. I am sure the Corporal of the scouts wouldn't mind that.

Assault.
With the recent increase in attacks upon our tavern as stated I have been asked to remove myself from the active staff list. This is due to the unfortunant knowledge given to me that it seems the men who attacks the tavern is out to get me. I am unsure if this is a truth or just a ruse since there are plenty of other ways to get to me, but thats how the land lays. Currently however the moot is the current climate in which we must try and show some rekindling of Goblin spirits. Perhaps have some of our Covian stock transfered out to the moot compound and sold for a slightly larger price, taking into account alot of people will be there, some richer then our usual clientelle? Not to mention most men will pay more to seem to others that they are rich. Why not utilise this?

The smell.
I took the liberty before we went to the moot to have some men and women clean out the Goblin in a proffesional manner whilst we are gone, this is to say air all the carpets, rugs, furniture and so forth, they will cost three hundred and fifty coins over the next week to be doing it all. This takes into account the coin I asked to borrow.

I hope we shall see a more solid month this coming week with assaults dwindling and our tavern being one of great splendour and merriment once more.

Kiran.
