Any rare hunter around ?

Ello !
I wonder if anyone of us is or knows a rare hunter who can verify this bandages shown in this pic below.
I got em from an idoc house latly. Named as 5 clean bandages. I know most of em rares and semi rares
found those even on a screeny with other rares but never found a description for them.

I'de say semi-rare, ive got some to, you can add to the pile and pass it on so i dont think they're worth much

Those bandages are a stealable healer rare. As such, the 'true' price should in theory be the same as all other stealable rares, such as special food, blacksmithy rares (Like wire, horseshoes, forged metal), NPC books, etc. However, it it both harder to find (It spawns somewhat irregularly in healer shops, in chests), and more desirable. There are also a large number of people who think it to be a rare that stopped spawning but at last check this is not the case.

Average price for stealable rares: 1k-ish.
True price for this rare: 10k according to an atlantic shard rare-seller (who claims to sell a set about once a week) as of yesterday.
Gullible price: If you're lucky and slightly unscrupulous, as of two months ago rare-sellers on europa claimed to be selling these for 150k (That was for a stack of 6).

A bit of background is that these bandages supposedly used to spawn on monsters (Example given is orcs) but this stopped (Common consensus is that it stopped around the time of the Delucia invasion). Some people believe that they no longer spawn whatsoever, hence the fact that they have been sold for as much as 300-400k. Useful to someone creating an infirmary/sickbay/healer themed house or a store-room, and because of its rarity and differing opinion on it, it's worth as much as people are willing to pay for it...'official' rares name for it btw is a 'stack of reversed bandages'.

I don't trade rares as such, but they interest me. I've had quite a bit of contact with Hemi; I helped him (not knowing it was him) kill a Haven guard, he barded and herded tokuno animals for me once, my blue alt (who wears copper armour, copper coloured leather and copper coloured cloth and boots) won his velentine's day costume competition, beause he likes copper so much - I usually say 'hi' to him with that character if I see him.

I have a few rares of my own, mostly as deco for my little house - arrow shaft semi rare, Haven guard armour, Umbra guard axe, inor artis such as the gold bricks (as if that's rare, heh) and two of the Candelabrae of Souls, Doom braziers and Bloody Water, and my most treasured rare (and probably the single highest-valued item pair I own), my pair of spawning blood tiles, valued at 2 mil for each of the two tiles. I camped wrong entrance for hours on end for weeks, just to get that. I also have a few of the obsidian statues (I paid for two specific ones from a collector of them, that is, the Skilled Tailor and the Fanatical Crusader, and I have two ones I assembled myself, not particularly exciting names if I remember correctly). Not including the tokuno arties and marties, which are common as muck now but worth around ten thousand times as much. Let me think...I have basic rares like Snowy Scenes (I have on display a snowy scene of Serpent's Hold that I found somewhere), some juka bows and an orcish bow, prepatch silver weapons, spawning and stealable rares such as bone containers, tall candles, gold metal box, a bag (that I won from that valentine's day competition I mentioned) with a lot of old things in (Both colours of pink champagne, a champagne flute, some valentine's day sweets, silver coins, a fireworks wand, and a pink special fishing net), kinda rares, like the skull of greed and magic flute (The former I managed to grab in Fel, it was bait for a PK ambush, heh, the latter I looted from Kade. Long story.), solen quest items and picnic baskets, daemon bone, glacial staff (Got from an IC quest back in Valoria with Cal), AOS rose, lots of ropes, AOS dress (Which again I found - most of the items I have I found, took, looted, hunted for, as opposed to buying. Bear in mind my account's pretty new so I wouldn't have AOS items and such by default). Apart from that, normal half-rare things (You can tell they're rare because people will pay loads for them and they are, well, not common), like lots of tailor reward cloth and deco, that sort of thing.

I also regularly check the Rares Collector's forum on Stratics, just out of interest. That's where I found info for your query.

I'd be willing to spend loads for certain rares but I fear I'd be outbid - I'm thinking specifically of the non-spawning blood varieties and serverbirth fletching rares (all valued at like 10 mil gold, and on auction probably worth many times that because of how rich everyone is nowadays).

Edit: I forgot to mention, another rares collecter I know is, or was, depending on how you look at it, a longtime member of Kaldor (AFAIK, he's playing WoW ¬.¬), but with his Kaldor Citizen character, Lord Valin [Kaldor master Trader], he did a load of rares collecting. His house in Strongholt, Revelstone, used to be a vendor mall but he since oved that idea to Luna - Revel itself has about 30 sets of Gold Bricks, one of the ultra-rare covetous statues on the roof (We're talking 25 million gold starting price at auction if you're in a good mood and insanely generous), true rares like the spittoon, and many of the rarest marties (Leviathan only ones - he got about 20 fabled fishing nets and a huge horde of us went to sea marty hunting - he was crying with joy when he got the first Ghost Anchor on Europa).
Edit 2: Just went to his house. He has on display 24 'gold bricks' marties, loads of dailes, one of every colour of anvil and runic hammer, inclusing three valorite, of which one is prepatch, every kind of dye tub, the hughly rare event rare viking sword (Khaldun I think), orcish engineer toolkit, corroded manacles, no less than 7 barroom true rares and lots of less rare ones, true rare vase, loads of lesser rares, that statue I mentioned, and ov course the while Kaldor player library, with all our fiction and lore in it. (It's huge!).

awwww *drools* Im probably fascinated by rares like that ..
Everything that looks fancy as a deco object and fits to the interior of the certain house like hanging armours within a crafting room , horse saddles in the self made stable and such things.
Sadly as ye say some of them are sold for horrible prices . And paying 25mios+ for only one object is
... well another league . I was thinking of raising an arty hunter (thief, thunter) by myself but
overthrow it again. (easier to camp Idoc houses ) Well actually im not a pur idoc camper ..only doin

And to John Dell...you looked through the whole list and found only one thing you disagree with? That's a new record for me. Since it (silver coins) was in the context of the prize from Hemi (and in parenthesis), I included it as part of that section for completeness. Anyway, since I'm not in Factions, it's rare for me, surely?
