Name: Alfred Bohr Place of Birth: Minoc Age: 18
Appearance: Alfred is a young looking lad of medium build and height for a male; not really weedy, but far from ox-like. His beard and long black locks give his face a few more years to it, as does the compassionate, parental gaze . It has been said that he does not look like an “Alfred” should.
History: He was given the name Alfred by his father, who had himself been blinded as a punishment for some obscure misdemeanour before Alfred was born. As a consequence, his father resigned himself to a life as a fisherman. However, at the age of 7, this meagre income of his was lost as a freak storm washed his father and their fishing boat away with the waves, and his father’s body presumably to ironically become food for the fish that had once fed them. Because of this, his mother had to provide for their family with the income from designing fashionable fur frippery and other foppish finery to please the new money who had founded their fortunes upon the increased trade in Minoc. As a result this lack of available authority within the Bohr household, Alfred was entrusted with the responsibility of making sure his younger siblings didn’t choke on a frog or fall into pots of soup. Fortunately, it was agreed that when his youngest sibling- a brother by the name of Charles- came of age, Alfred would be thrown out into the world that he had been denied in favour of education and filial piety. So, with a fair amount of apprehension and guilt leaving behind the three children he’d basically raised himself behind, he set off to New Haven to start a life he could call his own.
