This evening I led the first of my Watchman duty tasks. I chose for us to visit the dungeon Wrong a place I had not seen in many years. It took a little while for the line up to sort itself out. I have since learnt not to wait until the last minute to leave but go as soon as you have one or all the guardsmen will start to disappear again.
First Miss Martin took us somewhere completely wrong. It did look interesting though pools of water in a cave of islands and strange plants. Once she realised the mistake we then ported to where we were meant to go and met Serj there along with Ting who had both decided to run to our destination instead of waiting.
Inside the dungeon we faced the tough hides of the strongest lizardmen I have ever seen. Even our newly made Covian swords took some time cutting into their thick spiny exteriors. We found cells containing other beasts but we couldn't reach them as the doors were locked as my foot soon discovered when I tried kicking one open. Past these cells we discovered an evil mages lair with torture implements and blood covering every surface. We made quick work of these foul beings and I had us form a trackers line to avoid the numerous traps on the floor. Some decided not to follow and found themselves choking on clouds of poison or cutting themselves on hidden blades.
We descended to the next level and were set upon by a pack of viscious wolves these two seemed to have some super strength and I was glad they did not breed in Cove. We made our way done some steps and found another place of evil mages these had a surprise though. An enourmous and extremely strong Ogre we hacked at it and threw spells and arrows and around our feet dripped piles of maggots that seemed to have fallen out of the small wounds we made. I could see we were getting no where and order a fall back into the corridor and that was when the tide turned against us causing us to drop one after another.
Luckily we picked ourselves back up and were able to recover our belongings before fighting our way back out the dungeon where Serj lifted our spirits with a song of Covian courage.
