Danlow is an unfortunate miner whose past has been wiped out by a terrible accident in a cave at Mount Kendall, Minoc. He used to mine there with colleagues, working hard to fill mining contracts, as he was told later, until a sudden cave-in changed his life and took out all of his workpartners. All he can remember are some bits of conversation, a shout, thunderous rumbling and a stony moan. The only thing that stayed seemingly unharmed through the dreadful event, was a gargoyle pickaxe...
He has eventually turned back to mining, mainly for earning his upkeep, but also to blot out the event from his mind and hopefully to regain some of the lost memories.
