A Humble Request

To whom it might concern;

I am most honored by your decision to promote this humble female to the rank of Watchman. It was an unexpected pleasure, one that I will make certain none of you will regret. While I am fully aware that I am walking on thin ice considering my most distasteful heritage, I would like to make a request. My new title seems slightly unfitting. If there is no qualm, I would like to be referred to as Watchlady. I will be most grateful should this request be honored, but regardless of the outcome I will continue to serve the Militia and the Church, and make amends for my dark origins.

I am grateful for your time.

There is a splotch of ink next to the signature that at first glance looks like an accident, but upon closer examination appears to resemble some sort of arachnid. The signature written next to it is bold, elegant, and dominates the bottom half of the note.
