The game of death that has been growing in great renown was set this eve in the heart of Cove.

It is a great luxury to be able to play this sport inside the now safe walls of Cove; for only two weeks ago this town lay under occupation by a mass army of Orcish kin. This day of Bagwar is the first sign of Cove returning to normal, and for that we shall rejoice.
The event kicked off with Lord Hendrake requesting two teams of Covians, distributing uniforms colored in red and blue. There was also a set color for referees of the event, which was yellow. The referee party consisted of Lord Hendrake, his Aide, Amy McKillen, and myself.
Two team captains were picked; Recruit Teclus for Blue Team, and Recruit Jackhera Orange for the infamous "Blood" Team, the official color of the Covian Bagwar team. At that, the new captains began to choose their team mates.

Referees: Lord Hendrake (Head Referee), Amy McKillen, Commander Eason.
Blue Team: Recruit Arc, Squire Geoffrey, Sergeant Gry, Recruit Teclus (Leader), Recruit Vlad.
Blood Team: Recruit Athalus, Recruit Darwin Luke, Baron Octiovus, Recruit Jackhera Orange (Leader), Junior Sacrow.
Spectators: The very lovely Dellamona, Khaelieth, and Violet.

Blue Leader Teclus ponders over his choice.

Once team mates were selected, Lord Hendrake addressed the Bagwar players. He explained the purpose of the game, and the objectives of both teams (i.e. to retrieve the Enemy's bagball and return it to their base). Following this, I stepped forth and explained the many rules of the game; including nay poison, bleed attacks, mortal strikes, or stealthing with the bagball.

Eason explains the rules of Bagwar.

And at that, the madness began! It took some time for the concept of Bagwar to register with the Covians, for it can be confusing at the best of times; however, once all was understood some good matches were played. A cunning strategy, and rapid deployment of tactics saw victory in this game.

Recruit Vlad steals the Blood bagball. Baron Octiovus and Junior Sacrow charge back to reclaim it.

The Blood Team defend their bagball heavily against the Blues.

Blood Captain Jackhera Orange faces off with Blue Captain Eason.

Lord Hendrake reorganises the teams, whilst spectators Dellamona, Khaelieth and Violet look on.

Notice the large halberd. T'is why it is the "game of death"! Har!

The final score...
Blood Team: 2
Blue Team: 1
Well done, the Bloods!

Many thanks to Lord Hendrake for tirelessly coordinating the event, with his able Aide, Amy McKillen. Also, a special thanks to the spectators; Dellamona, Khaelieth, and Violet, for giving the Bagwar players their support.
And.. finally, a VERY special thanks to our Baronship Craftsman, Mad Pete, for designing, producing, and collecting the rare resources to create the high quality Bagwar barbed leather armor.
Commander Eason

It is indeed a good sight to see the City back in the proper hands of virtuous baron.
