This has happened to me a few times in the past week, and id just like to tell all the people who have two characters in the Militia, that its quite bad roleplay to do something on one character, and then keep the same state of mind on the other.

If you dont get what i mean here's an example,

"5 laps around the barracks recruit!"

*recruit does the laps*

*the recruit switches onto another char, and attacks the person who's told them to do the laps*

This is just an example, and im not saying it actually happened, but please, try to avoid this.

Also, adding to this. Remember that there's a ranking system in the Militia. This means that if you are a lower rank than someone else you obey their orders and you do not insult them or do anything that might harm the higher ranking officer.

This goes for everyone from Recruits to Senior Guardsman so all you Recruits out there who think you're being hard done by, you're not, because it happens to eveyone, except the Baron.

I am only saying this because things have been getting a little out of hand recently, and i think people should start thinking about the ranking system in this Guild.

It's generally expected of guardsmen to respect their higher ranking officers. Being disrespectful IS okay, however, as long as it's in character. But if it does get ridiculous and OOC like the example Drachir provided, it becomes a problem.

But do keep in mind to remain realistic. Not a good idea to randomly attack people, harass recruits to the point of abuse (just an example, not saying anyone's done it), repeatedly refuse orders, and so on. The only thing I really need to say here is common sense. Smiley

I acually never had problems with recruits and watchmen being disrespectful against an officer.. But i have heard this before and ye are damn right thats its totaly wrong.. And if a person isnt happy about being pushed around, well then they shouldnt be in the militia.. Not this milita..
Its just roleplay.. A and O in roleplay is NOT to take everything said to yer character on a personal level..
In roleplay things that happends to your char dosnt happend to you as a person.. Hmm this begins to get complicated..

For example: I lost count how many times Ryan Greystone and Feraz have fighted over something over the past many months.. And called eachother names etcetera but i like the fellow  OOC but "hate" him in the game..

Well, when i first started in BoC which was about 3 months ago i think, There was never any trouble with disipline. All ranks were polite and took orders from the higher ranks. But its just started around now, it seems as though alot of recruits have just joined in the space of about 4 weeks, and it seems they're getting the wrong idea.

Obviously my opinion doesnt count for much, but when i joined, Tib asked me questions about roleplay, and told me in a very simple but firm way the rules and regulations of this militia, and look at me, i turned out fine  Cheesy. But, i think now the recruitment is starting to decrease in telling the recruits what is right and wrong...

I think its time to be more harsh to people wanting to join, like the old days...well, 3 month ago days...

Disobeying orders, being rude and insulting is fine, if you want to blame it on your char, that's fine also.

But remember using these traits have consequences, disobeying ect. will get you in trouble, even if it is the character doing so.

Also adding to what ive said, if you've been given a punishment it is EXTREMELY bad roleplay, to log out, and pretend it never happened.

I believe i saw this happen once, the Recruit emoted *yawns* and then ran into the barracks...
