*The day is coming to an end and Erik makes his way to the barracks. Already assembled there, he finds a large collection of Guardsmen*
Grand! Grand! Many have come! Alroight! Ye all know what we're here for, roight?
Err.... Well.... er.....*Slaps his forehead*
We're here to pull up a barricade at the Vesper Border! For too long have Vesperians, Undeads and brigands alike crossed into our lands from that side. We'll put a stop to it by placin' a barricade. I want no foreigners gettin' into Covian lands without our sayin' so tonight!
Right! Ye'all know I be the man with the cunnin' plan, don't ye? Well here it is! I be wantin' the Light Company under the leadership of Sir Shadowhand to scout them Vesperians! I want to be informed of their numbers and movements!
At once Watchman Arkay!*Kal takes two of his apprentices and heads in the direction of Vesper*
Right! All Junior and above Guardsmen are to form a squad. Ye'll be stationned outside the barricades and deliver a most devastatin' flankin' blow on any force that might attempt to break through!
Myself and the recruits will make sure a proper barricade is built! Now then...off we go!
*Before reaching the border a pack of brigands, trolls and harpies assault the main body of guardsmen. They are quickly dealt with*
This is exactly why we need this barricade lads! No doubt hired thugs from them blasted Vesperians!
*The Party arrives at the border and swiftly begins constructing the barricade. Just in time the barricade is finished as dusk is settling in*
*The veteran squad is deployed out of sight and the recruits man the barricade. In the meanwhile reports come in from the Scouts to inform a handfull of Vesperians are cowering away in their Town Hall. Too petrified to venture out*
*Time passes untill suddenly Jenifer Feather arrives at the barricades*
Von'Sah sir! They're at the Cove Barracks and refusing to be taken into custody!Bah! No doubt a manouvre from the Vesperians to lure us away! What to do, What to do!
Right! This calls for our immediate attention with soo many guardsmen away from our own barracks. In formation we shall retreat back to the barracks and snair any invading Drow into our web! Forced march gents!
*The guardsmen scatter in the woods and circle in on the Covian barracks. Just as they are about to converge onto it a Drow runs into our web like an obedient little fly. She is quickly dispatched along with her accomplices*
*After the Drow manouvre, the Vesperians crawled deeper under their tables and where not seen again that night. After lining up the men Erik gives the men present a few words of encouragement*
*With a final battlecry for cove the Vesperian barricade was lifted and considered a success. They'll think again before raiding Covian lands after this display of power*
