*a multiple-paged report is pinned to the board*

Ahoy! Today, the Eve of October 18th, Sarg' Joey called tergether a line, and explained tha we were to gather infermation about a murder that Corporal Arc had discovered.

Attendance
Joey Lanai (Leading)
Vincent Redfield
Dalamar
Drachir
Vince Valentine
Olchafa Serpent

                                  Joey lines up the troops.

Sarg' Joey gave us a lil' background info on the mission at hand. He had said Corporal Arc had been in the barracks when a wounded man came in, with nowhere else to go, and died right there in his arms! The man carried a journal, which pointed us in the direction we were headed in today. After we got to the moongate, we recieved more information.

Joey gives a short briefing.

We arrived in Moonglow, where we would be split up. Joey went north, Drachir and Dalamar went west, and the two Vinces (myself and junior guard Valentine) went East. Our mission was to search houses, and search them we did. We came upon several strange ones, such as...

                      Brr indeed.
And..

The work of Arcanists, no doubt.

However, none of them matched any 'illegal' criteria...until we stumbled upon a house which caught Valentine's eye, for there was dried blood sprayed along the outside of it. The door had been locked, so we had no choice but to force entry. Upon entering, we were victim to witnessing a grisley crime scene, not to mention the stench of death hiting us like a ton of bricks...we immediately sounded a horn that Seargent Joey had given us, and it wasn't long before he arrived.

The scene of the crime.

Soon after all three partys had regrouped, we surveyed the area, and Joey deemed that the killer had entered under a wall in the back room. We also found a book, an extension of the journal that Corporal Arc had found, which pointed us in the next direction...the Hedge Maze!

After deducing that more evidence could be found in, as the journal states, ' a house surrounded by a maze', it was Drachir who recognized this as the famed Hedge Maze, and using his superior sense of direction, led us there in no time. Surely navigating the maze however, was a task only suitable for Searget Joey.

The entrance!

Several hours time saw us in the heart of the maze, where the troops began to tire. A few dead ends later, we realized that we were not alone, as out of nowhere swooped a huge winged demon! T'was no match for the Covian militia, however, and it was quickly put down. The victory was short-lived, as many more of the deamon's companions followed.

The demon!

It was not long after the first demon was put down that we found the exit, or should i say 'entrance' to the maze, as we had finally found the house of which the book spoke. It became apparent that we were not going to get into the dwelling easily, however, as more and more demons accosted us. The larger demons were accompanied by smaller, faster versions of themselves, yet try as they might, were put down one by one by the iron-clad fist of the Militia! At last, we gained entry to the mysterious house.

Entrance at last.
I managed to make a sketch of the first floor of the house.

Does nay look too inviting.
After securing it, we were called to the 'dining' quarters of this disgusting ruin, to talk strategy with the Seargent.

Sarg' Joey told us that we would need to find a way to get into the tower ajacent to the house we were in. Again, we were split up into two groups to scour the area.
After searching, both groups simultaneously came upon odd-looking footprints that seemingly went straight into a mound of grass! However, moving some brush aside, we found a secret entrance!

The entrance led to a long, stony corridor, one that looked like it had not been in operation for years, judging by the extremely rusty door that we had to pry open. After following the corridor about 30 paces, we surfaced in yet another house.

The second house.

Now this is when things started to get wierd. On the second floor of the SECOND house, we found a blue, shiny mist glowing. As we studied it, Drachir was pushed Voluntered to go through, and seconds later, without any options left, the rest of the party followed, leading to yet ANOTHER area!

The third and final area.

This time, we found what we were looking for. Joey rumaged through several vials and books, and discovered what the murdered man had been searching for. It turns out, we had stumbled upon the plans for an Avatarian Weapon! Joey congradulated us all on a job well done, and took the plans for this new mysterious weapon. After finding a way out of the tower, Joey's runebook granted us safe passage home.  Again we were congradulated, and dismissed. All in all, mission successful!
