We gathered at the docks, doing our best to ignore the cold and the snow. Thouse of us with scouting abilities were separated from the
clumsy more heavily armoured. Under Grenadier Valentine's command, they non-scouts were sent off to occupy a defensive position.
The scouting squad then used the shadows to approach the defending squad and attacked. With most of us keeping to the shadows I got separated and missed most of the first battle. Not quite sure who won.
The second battle was terminated early. Sergeant Valiro seemed unhappy that those of us in the Scout squad were not understanding his orders and were not adapting too well to the hit and strike tactics favoured by the Light Company. Before the final battle he clarified his commands and those of us not in the Light Company understood what he meant. The final battle was a defeat for the cout squard but we followed orders better, finally understanding that Acquire Target means get into position to attack and not Attack. I learned a lot during it and hope to perform better at the next one.
