Introduction:“The Highlanders eyed the advancing cavalry, and barely needed prompting to form the trade mark square. They raised their shields high, and eagerly awaited the charge of the galloping enemy. Only a few hundred yards of open ground separated them now; but the well organized Highlanders refused to be intimidated and raised the Barons flag defiantly and waved it at the oncoming enemies.
The first wave of horsemen hit the Highlander’s square, crashing into the huge bronze heater shields the Highlanders prized so much, sending riders and horses flying everywhere. The harsh voice of the Highlander sergeant rang out above the mayhem, “Stand fast m’lads!” he cried as more and more cavalry smashed into the tight packed formation, but it was no use, the cavalry were merely shrugged off like water on rock, causing the infuriated enemy officer to call his men to a retreat as the Highlanders laughed and jeered him off the field. The sergeant spoke once again “If there be one thing a Highlander knows ter do, its how to stand and fight...”Why should I join?The Highlanders a close knit squad and do the best to help each other out; on and off the field and treat their own as a family. If you get in trouble - the Highlanders will be there to pull you out again. You will also receive access to the Highlanders stores and will be able to attend Highlander only events. And don't forget, all the free liquor you can drink!
Roleplaying traits:- Higlanders are sticklers for discipline and won't let even minor infringements go unpunished.
- Highlanders enjoy strong drink and often will not back away from brawls if their honour is insulted.
- Highlanders always stick together, whether it is on the field or off it. They will always help their own.
- Highlanders are rarely seen without their beloved bronze shields; if they are not using that they are most likely to be using a heavy two handed weapon (Battle axe, halberd, etc.)
- Highlanders often pay tribute to Lithos, the Mountain King.
