• Run 1 patrol to the ant Caves and kill an ant lion and take the bronze and bring back at least twenty bronze ore so it may be used in the forging of new tunics and shields. (Include report)
• Attend 1 Highlander training session
• Complete the final task to be announced upon completeion of the other two

HIGHLANDER TASKS: First Part, gather the bronze ore

As Rory had requested Bronze ore from ant lions, I had to find some ant lions to get it from. And where do you find ant lions? In the Solen caves! Having been there before, as a part hunts and raids, I was a bit unsure on how to do this alone, compared to the relative safety of travelling. As I descended into the caves, I met several of the strange beings called solens. They are largish walking ants. Not at all pleased by seeing me, they attacked me on sight.


Silly ants...

Moving deeper and deeper into the caves, I managed to find a spot where Several Ant Lions was stalking around...Approaching them carefully they suddenly attacked me. Having to do hit and run attacks to avoid being overwhelmed I finally managed to overcome the pack. Shifting through the debris, I found what I was looking for. Almost 240 pounds worth of Bronze ore. Heading out the same way i came, I finally arrived back at the barracks, where I put the ore in a chest next to the writing desk on the second floor.
