The former Commander sat in the Folk Tale House tavern, devouring ale after ale. The man was constant in his drinking of beverage, and, despite the barkeep's concern, there was no end to the shamed officer's indulgence in the good stuff.
Edgily, Eason grabbed a fork.. thinking it a quill and pressed it down on a piece of parchment. He threw it aside angrily upon realisation of its ineffectiveness as a writing utensil. Next, he grabbed a dagger, which hardly performed any better. Third time lucky, Eason... Eh? Success!
With a messy quill in his hand, Eason began to scribble.. very.. slowly..
"Nicholi.. What sort of name is that anyways.. Mrmmf... Damn rats..."

Tasks
* Organise a Combat Training Session.
* Coordinate a Sentry at the Covian Gates.
* Lead separate Patrols to the Orc Fort, the Covian Graveyard, and the Northern Swamps.
* Import some Ale from Skara Brae!

Conditions
* Training Session must include at least FOUR other guardsmen, and last at least twenty minutes.
* Gate Sentry must include at least three other guardsmen, and last at least twenty minutes.
* Patrols must include at least three other guardsmen, and gather a total sum of 10,000 gold pieces.
* Ale must be imported from Skara Brae via packhorse caravan. Speak to Minister Khaelieth about organising it.
* ALL aspects of this Trial must be well documented in THIS thread.

Combat Training!

I started off by dividing da Guardsmen into two teams of three. I hade 'em go to da north and souht ends of da arena and started some attacking/defending drills.

We hade some trobles with people miss understanding rules with the drills bu' nothing to major, after clearifiying the rules a bit we hade anotha ru', and the teams imporved a great deal. After the drills weh started a small unarmored open hande' fight just te get everyone readeh fer real injuries that they will face in battle, I figured a bit o' pain neva hurt anyone.

After da unarmored foit, we discovered wah seemed te be a spy from Yew, so we ran 'im outa town quickly and got back to training. I finished up with a bit of a Free For All battle, though the recruits wern't condition from many real battles with the Yewish yet they fought well and held there own.

Sentry at Cove Gates!

I figured it beh da roit time te start a Sentry at da Gates 'ust incase da Yewish led a late night attack. We started da sentry at da fourth hour late at nigh'. Though naythin' happended we still hade a bi' of fun durin' it, Senior Althalus was stealthin' about and playin' tricks on Regular Kurt. It was a bit of a show. This nigh' we protected Cove from da possible threat of da Yewish an' hade a grand ol' time while doing so! Here beh a sketch I drew up about half way through da sentry.Weh packed up dah sentry and Twenty afta da fourth hour.

As ye can see weh built a sturdeh fortification der by da gates, an' nay one worry Cove is safe again fer da night!

Orc Fort Patrol

I led a patrol to the Orc Fort to bash everyone of dose buggas to da groun'. When weh reached da fort I reminded dem to heal well becuase dese buggers can pritty 'ard sometimes. Weh wen' it and slew all da ones weh could find bu' it seemed that they were all hiden from the might of da Covian Army! Weh killed many included one of dose big 'uns. Evereh one hit hard and healed fast, we finished dem all off quickly and headed back for the Barrocks.

Weh made it back to da Barrocks easily and with out problems, and collected a total of 4357 crowns to beh left for the Coffers. Although I wanted to extend dis patrol to the local Grave yard and Swamp I felt extremely tired and hade to rest fer a while.

Northern Swamp Patrol

I led dis small group to da Northern swamp, te control the population o' the smelleh slimeh critters. We entered the swamp and started attackin' the weirdo creatures, doing fine, and slaying many.

As, we ventured deeper and deeper into the muck, the consentration of the beasts began to become thicker. There were simply to many of them for us to handle. We slew as amny as we could, but They jus' over powered us. As the swarm became unbearable, I ordered "Tactical Retreat!", though disapointed that I couldn't beat the swamp that day, I was glad that it did not take our lives.

As weh exited the swamp I ordered the men to force it to the Barrocks. We arrived at the Barrocks in one peice, though saddend by m' loss, I ordered the men to drop thier loot. After distributing the loot to the thirsty lookin' Guardsmen, it left us with 4209 Gold Croawns to be given to the Coffers.

About time eh? Cove Finally 'as some more ale! I started the Import by leading the men to the road, where we were attacked by a band or Brigands! Although they out numbered us, we took them down easily. I figured that they didn't have a chance against da Forces o' Cove!

After slaying our attackers, we hade an pritty mucch uneventful walk to the city o' Britian. We cross the down ina jiffy an' got back onto the road that would take us to Skara Brea! We made it to town, a whiles longer, still no excitement. I entered the Inn where I was to by the Ale, an' U found dey rose da price! So, I was forced te onleh buy the bottles o' ale and nay pitchers te go with. Though I figure ale is ale, roit?

After completeing the purchases, I took da ale an' sorted it out into four bags. It may no' look like much bu' It sure will hold us over!

Weh found some nice wyches in town dat coul' open a portal te Cove fer us, so da horses didn't have te strain dem selves with da heaveh load. As weh arrived, dere were two Yewish, waitin' fer us. Dey said dey wanted da pack 'orse an' it's load! All I could say was "Hells no! Dis is m' ale!" so, then the foit fer da ale conmensed...We knocked 'em a bit easeh and took da horse back to da barrocks. When we got to da barrocks we relized dat weh left the secound horse. So, I sent Thomas after it. When he return empty handed, he reported that the Yewish killed m' horse, Jackson, which was holden Half da ale! It being to late now to go back and buy more, we shall have to stick with what  we have...*sighs*

Graveyard Patrol!

I led my final patrol to the Graveyard. Hopefully this will finish m' requirements for Junior. Weh made the patrol nic e and easy and fast. Weh went in, slayed them, and went home.

After, cleaning out the graveyard I ordered the men to force it to the Barrocks. Upon arrival, I hade dem drop dere loot, which was a nice sum for a short amount of killing. I divided the loot and left 2325 crowns for the Coffers.
