What:With the reintroduction of the trophy system, I thought it was time to do a little hunt. And what is better to hunt than demons?! So gathering up five men to go with me, I lined them up outside the barracks, telling them of the mission goals and the mission location: The fiery cliffs and ruins of Chaos.
Pep-talk before entering the realms of ChaosImmediately upon stepping out from the portal, we were ambushed by several lesser demons, including gargoyles and harpies! But they were no match for the might of the covian block of fighters and were quickly slayed or driven off. I was worried by this though, as this must have meant that some powerful demonic entity must have discovered our mission.
Ambushed!Proceeding carefully and driving back many demons in our path, I was intent upon reaching the lair of the female demons known as Succubi. My plans were foiled however by the sudden appearance of a golden skinned succubi. The demon had apparently decided that her weak minions were no match for us, so she would have to take us on herself. Quickly lashing out with a torrent of spells and also approaching us using her flaming whip against us, one after the other fell until all went black for me too.
Yarr!
Bugger!After the valiant efforts of our two scouts Cor and Edmund, we managed to escape the wrath of the demon and proceed towards our objective. Gathering up the men and moving on we finally found the lair in the lower slopes of this hellish place. The temperature were sweltering and everyone were sweating profusely when a lithe female suddenly appeared out of the steam and smoke filled air.
"Who dares enter my realm" she said. The only reply she got was an unison
"FOR COVE!" as we charged her. After a short and Intense fight in which she summoned her minions to aid her: fire elementals and demonic snakes, we finally managed to kill her.
At last the fiend falls!Beginning our extraction along a different rune, we not only met the golden demon again, but also happened upon a trio of dragons, of whom we slew three! But the last one drove us away and we returned to cove several hours after schedule. Dismissing the men on their commendable effort, I finally could take some rest.
