After the Grenadiers secured the last man standing event of Kado's Training, the Grenadier spirit was high. We decided to complete the Grenadier Task and blow up the bridges out of Yew. A very fine group of guardsmen assembled at the Barracks. We not only had the luxury of 3 Grenadiers leading the troops, but also two Dragoons who could scout the roads ahead.
On route to the Yewish bridges Arriving at the first bridge with only a few brigands assaulting the party, we soon crossed it and began attaching our explosive devices. Khaelieth had some remarks about wether or not we were on the right side of the bridge, but I ensured him we had everything well in order. A few minutes later we blew the bridge up and happily continued our way west.
Guardsmen unable to head back east? The group stealthily made their way through Yewish territory to their last objective. They met almost no threat along the way and all guardposts seemed deserted. It seems that the Loyalists have rallied all men to Vesper in a desperate attempt to hold it firmly in their grasp. Arriving at the second bridge I was not going to make the same mistake like last time. This time we would stay on the other side of the bridge!
Guardsmen now unable to head west? After watching the bridge disappear into the waves some men now seemed to wonder how on earth we were to get back. Now that both bridges were burnt and the squad was located in between we found ourselves in a pickle.
How on earth will they get home? After wandering about aimlessly, some men shooting evil glances at me, we found our way out! One of those antholes! Surely if they're all interlinked we can find the one not far from Minoc?
Guardsmen make their way back home through the tunnels So here you have it, both bridges blown and a safe though slightly delayed return! Victory for the Grenadiers!
