Greetings my Squad Officers!

The Army has need of it's specialised Squads. A number of tasks have been set for each and every one of you. These are essential for the safety of Cove and the demonstration of our abilities to the outer world.

Grenadier Tasks

My former brothers, the Baron needs you! This friday at 9PM a grand festival will be held in Cove to commemorate the rebuilding of the Docks. Next Wednesday myself and Mela will be wed. It is expected that the Baron will attend both events. You are required to escort the Baron in full parade armour. Should the Baron be prevented you are to operate as an elite guardforce, ensuring the safety of the guests.

* Escort Baron this Friday and Wednesday
* Ensure safety at the events

Scout Tasks

The Yewsmen have been harrying our borders relentlessly with their assassins and have even succeeded in wounding a few guardsmen and citizens. Time has come to bring the battle to them and I can think of no better deterrant then our much respected Scouts. You are to venture within enemy territory and succeed in badly wounding one of their senior guardsmen to show our ability to strike even in their heartland. Furthermore you are to attempt the capture of at least one of their guardsmen and attempt to retrieve from him the means by which they are herding Ophidians into Vesper.
OOC: Any raid of more then 2 scouts on Stonekeep must be accompanied by a Command member who will notify Grd command of our presence.

* Badly wound senior Yewish Guardsman
* Capture Yewish Guardsman and gather intelligence from him

Dragoon Tasks

Ah yes, one of our newest Squads, and how useful they have proven so far. To display the superiority of the Covian Dragoons in the mastery of horseback riding I would ask you to hold a grand Day of the Horse. During this evening you shall hold a variety of events which will include, but are not limited to: An obstacle course, a rodeo event (more then just horses) and a horserace. Furthermore, and it pains me to say it, your horses smell! We seem to lack a stable in Cove, but that should not stop you. A large scrubbing down, cleaning, iron refitting and whatnot event will be held to make your horses the pride of the lands!

* Hold Day of the Horse events
* Cleaning up of the horses

OOC:
* All events must be detailed within this thread.
* Don't just do the tasks as assigned. Make them as complex and elaborate RP events as possible.
* It IS a requirement to enjoy these
* Should your Squad fail to execute your assigned tasks in a reasonable time a mild punishment will be enforced on the squad for your lack of commitment.

Frankly, i'm insulted by our duties posted here, we are not stable boys or show jumpers, our mounts are used to relay information and travel great distances in short times, not to impress the locals.

The Dragoons are much more then that, we have our own specialized tactics, disciplines and heirarchy. The Dragoons have some of -the- toughest combatants in all of Cove, so in all fairness we'de rather show that side of our squad and let the Recruits know what kind of training they will receive. We are much more then mere mounted guardsmen, we are the skirmishers of Cove, the fist of the army, and would like to be treated as such.
