The Wickerman is one of the best films ever.

I'm talking about the extendedversion of the original, don't even want to think of the remake with Nicholas Cage.

One of the best scenes has to be when the puritanical Christian cop, Howie, is nearly having a fit over the naked girls he saw jumping through rings of fire in a pagan festival.

Howie: "But... but... they are naked!"

Lord Summerisle (Christopher Lee): "Of course they're naked, much too dangerous to jump through fire with your clothes on!"  and then gives Howie a look as if to say "how dumb are you?"

Action wise, it has to be the awesome Die Hard, starring Bruce Willis.
This is everything an action movie should be!
Horror wise, The Ring. The original japanese version was shiver-tastic, and the american remake was pretty good. '28 days later' was a really good british horror movie

Being Scottish, Braveheart will always have a fond place in my heart.

But it is seriously messed up in terms of accuracy.  Edinburgh Castle is built on a massive 'block' of volcanic material, google it and then compare with the crappy castle shown in the film.

The battle of Stirling was at Stirling Bridge, not the middle of a field.

Kilts weren't around at that time.

Longshanks died several years after Wallace.  The battle of Bannockburn was completely meh.  Edward II was there, they went with the intention to fight, this paying homage crap was completely made up.  And the Scots actually used tactics other than charging across a field screaming.

Way to stereotype Scottish, Irish and English people, Hollywood.

But it's an entertaining film for all that.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy deserves a mention here.  The first one is nearly perfect.

But but!! He was like.. teh BESTEST CLERIC EVAR!!
And he was trained to like.. dodge bullets! And through his wierd funky kung fu shooting training his killing efficiency rose no less than 120%!!

The only other Cleric that could pwn him was Sean Bean - who got an attack of conscience.
That black dood thought he was l33t, but got pwned in like.. two seconds - LOL

Ong Bak was good.  It was kinda funny when the main character, having just defeated the marital arts guys in single combat almost got beat by some guy whos fighting style involved nothing kore than a relentless assault using everything close to hand as a weapon
