Name: Ira Sanguistat
Age: 27
Race: Human
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Place of Birth: Yew

Physical Appearance: Ira cannot be described as short or tall, standing at just below six feet. His muscular build seems typical for a quick moving fighter, not sparse nor hulking. His skin is tanned from apparent travel, and his face is weary. His armor, however, appears new and skillfully sewn. It's evident that his uniform is newly issued.

His greasy black hair is loosely tied back into a considerably long ponytail, hanging to the bottom of his upper back. This matches the neatly trimmed goatee clinging to his chin. His brown eyes, despite his jubilant nature, appear somewhat longing and sorrowful.

Personality: For as long as he can remember, Ira's always had a unique way of talking. Despite his apparent intelligence, his accent carries the back-country slur of a pauper, and is littered with "ah's" and "er's" at the end of almost every clause. Ira doesn't seem to notice his verbal stumbles, and is happy to carry on talking until someone makes an effort to shut him up.

Ira loves the spotlight and adores attention. This may be the cause behind his flirtatious nature, lending a wink to any girl in the vicinity. Although he is not shy to compliment any woman that crosses his path, he is a firm believer of the ways of chivalry, and believes women should be treated with respect and well protected. Ira also seems to have a weakspot for children, and gives them special favor. Noble to his last breath, Ira will never do anything he believes is wrong, or will do harm to others. With such pacifist beliefs, one would wonder why he chose to join the Covian Army.

History:
(This information is completely OOC, and Ira would be very unlikely to share the details of his past, as he hates talking about himself.)

Ira Sanguistat was raised on a farm belonging to his father, Richard, outside the forest of Yew. He never knew his mother, a Yewish harlot who only intended to know his father for one night. Upon learning of her pregnancy, Richard Sanguistat offered her a place to stay for the next nine months. How she deduced that the child belonged to him is unknown, as he never questioned her. She disappeared days after Ira was born, not able to keep the child. Richard hired a young blacksmith named Finnigan Tritt to assist in his farm work and maintanence while he expended the effort to raise his son.

While Richard passed nis noble morals and beliefs and Avatarian faith onto his son, Ira was not a hard worker and came up with a thousand creative excuses to get out of farm labor. Finnigan also had a hand in raising, not having any children of his own, and became Ira's mentor, conscience, and best friend.

Richard Sanguistat died during Ira's teenage years from a going plague. The farm he would have otherwise inherited was burned to exterminate all traces of the disease. Ira quickly moved on from his father's death and was not sorry to lose his farm - he did not look forward to tilling fields for the rest of his life. Instead he persued something a little more exciting. Having no gold or home, Ira made a living from robbing traveling merchants. Calling himself the Golden Dagger, he was a gentleman of a thief who would smile as he swindled a man's gold. While sometimes violence was necessary, he never seriously hurt anyone, certainly not killed. Eventually he managed to purchas a small shack inside the forest.

During his remaining teenage years, Ira enjoyed an active lifestyle soaked in alcohol. He frequently visited the local tavern alongside his friend Finnigan, who was now married. Ira was never interested in romance but he was not out of character attending night parties. Finnigan worried but he let his friend be himself.

Eventually, Ira stopped the drinking and partying, as well as his thieving. He got a job working as Finnigan's assistant in his smithy. Half a decade later, Yew was destroyed when it was turned into a swamp. Ira's shack was completely destroyed and he was badly injured, but saved by the work of the monks and local militia. Finnigan's smithy was also lost, but he survived as well. His wife died some years earlier.

After recovering, Ira left Yew and his friends behind. He spent the next two years as a drifter, returning to his career of thievery.

For reasons unknown, he had decided to enlist in the army.
