Journal Extract – Desmond Frederick Krieger
20:00 GMT, Tuesday, 3rd October 2006

Of course, I knew of the Grenadiers. But were they for me? Well, surely I’m going to find out after this eventful night. A new (baldy) Grenadier mentor, being accepted to tag along with a Grenadier training session, and now, tasks from my much-loved (baldy) mentor to test my ability, and to serve as some way of judgement to whether or not I am Grenadier material! Bloody brilliant, says I. Bloody brilliant!

Stepping into line alongside the other bronze-armed Grenadiers, and the other Grenadier candidates, Sergeant Valentine briefed us. The plan was to march forth into the lands of Ilshenar – the Shrine of Honesty, to be specific – and advance into a valley, home to the Cyclops’ temple and dungeon. Eager as ever, we picked up the pace and arrive at the Shrine. Equipping ourselves for battle, and making other preparations, Sergeant Valentine soon called for the forward push. Charging through a small cave concealing the Cyclops’ valley, the pyramid soon stood before us. And so did the Cyclops, accompanied by Titans, and the powerful spells at their disposal.

But of course, no match for the Baron’s Own, and seemingly, those who wish to become one! Mowing them down one by one, there were soon many large oafs scattered around the foot of the pyramid, and with that, our squad moved into position for assaulting the dungeon. Within the space of twenty minutes or so, it was a similar sight. Though we had to pull back perhaps three times, it didn’t hinder our progress.

A successful evening for the Grenadiers, with a large returning sum of crowns for our Baron.

The Baron’s Own, fighting in his name!

A fine report Krieger.

And well done everyone.

Orders were followed, apprentices learned and the Baron's Own Honour upheld.

Nicely reported Krieger, and good job all who attended.
The last thing those bastards saw was a flash of bronze, before they were eating dirt.
