when you come on to the BOC website you get another pop up saying that your computer tracks what you do, and no matter if you press yes or no it brings up another website selling a product to delete internet files?

You should, never ever what so ever click an pop up ad! Just find the x in the corner of it. Or right click and chose close, you can get nasty stuff on your computer.

If you close it instead of clicking it, it will go away. But don't ever click them.  Undecided

John trust me, I probably know more about computers than half the people on here.

Its not that sort of pop up, its like a error message pop up you get with windows, and no matter what you click on it brings up and internet pop up trying to sell this product... and its highly frustrating...

even if i close it through windows task manager....

It is possible you're going through the old address which was:

http://baronshipofcove.cjb.net/

We cancelled our place there for reasons such as that.

The correct address is http://cove.fantasyworld.nl/ (no other link is the official BoC site).

If that doesn't help matters, I'm not sure what to say. I think the problem is more likely to be with your computer as I've certainly never experienced any sort of pop up on any fantasyworld hosted website or forum.

I had it as well, from going through the old site.  I just closed it using the red x and ignored it.

I clicked on the link and my anti-virus went nuts. Normally it doesn't respond to popups but it immediately told me that OH GOD MALWARE WANTS TO GET INTO MY COMPUTER. I'm glad we switched sites.

That's a very popular technique that a lot of popups use. It's deceptive and many people who don't know much about computers are fooled. "What? VIRUSES? I NEED PROTECTION." However, popups that slide across the screen on a webpage like the one on the old website DO always have close buttons. It's usually very small, and they may be difficult to find, but if you look closely you'll see a "close" or "x" somewhere, and if you click them the add will indeed close instead of taking you to the site.

Sometimes it will have a red X button that looks like the one on Windows, but isn't really the close button and you need to find the real one. Popups are required by special regulations to have one somewhere.

I also know quite a lot about computers. As a precaution you may want to run TrendMicro ( http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ )Housecall which can scan your computer for spyware, adware and viruses without any downloads required. Spybot is also a fantastic spyware remover that I use and recommend it if you keep getting these popups.

Of course, if it's a seperate window, you can close it with alt-f4 usually. On that note, GET FIREFOX.

Hey guys.

Both http://cove.fantasyworld.nl, and http://sugeworld.com are proper hosted schizzle - so there should be no pop ups whatsoever. If there are, its something more likely down your end. So stop downloading the ghey pr0n and stuff
