(Edit: Damn Graffiti suspended my account?! Pictures should be working now.)

Hello everyone! I'm Adrian Grenan, and I thought I'd draft up something of a story or report on Sunday's events during Covian Prime Time!

Covian Prime Time: 6pm-7pm, Sunday 13/03/05
The preparation for this Sunday's events were quite grand to say the least! We were to have food, drink, and furniture all nicely laid out and ready for all the activities of the hour. A special thanks to Dellamona, Ryan Greystone, and Ginger Buizard for all their help! What were we preparing for? Well, a few formal visitors, a few Trials, and a few speeches to put it plainly.

The activities started off with a parade from the Covian guardsmen, which was finely executed and directed by Senior Guardsman Grief Dryfth Gry. Following the disciplined footdrill, Guardsman Recruit John Dell received his Covian headdress cap from Baron Octiovus, and was promoted to Junior Guardsman!

That's me! Giving the Introduction to Cove!

In my introduction I believe I managed to shoot off a few words of praise to our formal visitors, which included wealthy merchant Lyim Rashidat, and the well renowned Sir Kaelith. Baron Twothumb of Vesper was also meant to be in attendance, but he could nay afford the journey - such a pity...

Ginger and me working the local ale, and spreading the gossip!

After a few more tales, and a few more drinks, we got started on one of the main events of the evening; the Trial of Mr. Christian Shale, taken into custody for the murder of his wife, Mrs. Jessica Shale. Read Jemmy's Report for more information!

Trial and Execution!
The Trial of Mr. Shale was short and to the point. Commander Eason of the Cove Militia asked how Mr. Shale plead (which wasn't very helpful), and after asking the citizens and guests of Cove, and of course, Baron Octiovus, it was decided that Mr. Shale be executed!

Mr. Shale and the congregation of the Trial were then escorted away from the stands, and to a special execution pit! A masked man with an axe sprang forth to end Mr. Shale's life; it was terrible! But Justice had to be done...

Commander Eason questions Mr. Shale.

Mr. Shale is executed!

Mr. Rashidat's Speech
After this gruesome display of Justice (ugh..), citizens and guests were redirected to the stands, where merchant Lyim Rashidat would be holding a short speech on the infrastructure and economical future of Cove. It was an interesting presentation, and left Covian citizens and peasants more confident in their town.

Mr. Rashidat announces the construction of a new road!

Funeral Procession
Following Mr. Rashidat's speech, a small funeral procession was held by the Covian Church in honor of the recently deceased Jessica Shale, who was brutally murdered by her husband just two weeks ago. Concerned and heart felt words were spoken by Brother Muldun, and Bishop Conrad.

Prayer is spoken at the site where Mrs. Shale's body was found.

Baron Octiovus's Speech
The great Lord Octiovus, Baron of Cove, had much to talk about; from his recent rise to power in becoming the Lord Protector of the North, to the full recovery of Cove from its invasion of Orcs months ago. However, other folk had something in mind! The Baron was only moments into his speech when assassins leapt from the shadows and attacked him!

Moments prior to the attack.

Assassins rush the stand!

The attackers flee to the Docks to board an escaping vessel!
The Baron is felled!

It was most dreadful! The guardsmen made an attempt to lock down the town, reducing the chance of escape for the attackers; however, a vessel had been waiting for them at the Covian docks, and saw them quickly out of the Militia's reach.

The Baron was delivered promptly to the sick quarters of the Church, where Covian healers, monks, and priests saw to him immediately. The Baron had been poisoned!

The help of a mysterious Elvish lady that travelled by the name of "VanQa" saw that the virus with which the Baron had been poisoned was weakened at best; however, it remains in his blood to this day, and shall forever pain him if a cure is nay found!

Militia attempt a lockdown of Cove.

The Baron is seen to in the sick quarter of the Church.

Defences are established to protect the Baron from further harm.

*puffs, pants* Well! What an evening!

Signed,
Adrian Grenan, Covian Peasant
