Orc Purging - Part One 17/10/06

We set out to curb the increasing numbers of orcs that threaten our town this fine eve. We had not even got within sight of the outpost before we were set upon by a couple of orc brutes! We formed up and took down the vile creatures with little trouble and charged the fort to secure the entrance and construct a sentry post from where we could launch attacks deep within the fort whilst having a safe haven to fall back to if need be.

Brutes this far from the fort! Did they know we were coming?

Hoagie and Desmond constructed a sturdy sentry which was then manned by the Officer Cadet along with Wathmen Del'Zar and Mikaela while the rest of us forayed into the fort cutting down orcs at every turn and burning sleeping quarters and rooms stacked with supplies as we went.

The orcs swarmed all around us and we faced brute after brute. Covered with blood and gore and near exhaustion we had made it to the docks. Junior Scout Kelly found what looked like a map and some orc orders on a dead orc captain. None of us could make head nor tail of the gibbersh scrawled on the scroll so i stuffed it under my tunic as we continue to scourge the fort.

I sent word for Hoagie to disband the sentry and re-inforce the main force so we could overcome the surviving orcs. The orcs died hard and brute after brute came at us but we stood fast and beat them down.

With the fort cleared and the intercepted orders stuffed in my tunic we gathered at the gate with a few bumps and bruises but no losses we headed back to Cove with over 22,000 looted coins.

I donated 4,000 to the church and gave each guardsmen 2,000 (mine and Joey's went into the coffers) for their fine efforts this eve.

I dismissed the troops and headed of to get the orc orders translated. Well done guardsmen!

I ventured to the famed library in Britain where i toiled for hours over old tomes and essays on the orcish language.

Ye bloodeh sshhh! The Baronship is danger!

Weary and with aching eyes i had done it!

Ahaaa!

The map appears to lead to an orc training camp somewhere in the forests south of Yew! That's where the buggers are coming from!

We will purge them some more! To arms!

 Excellent hunt!  I kept telling ye's that those orcs had to be dealt with sooner or later!  Perhaps i'll lead another hunt to decimate they're numbers even more.. Good Job Raiden!
