Guardsmen attending

Kal Shadowhand      Regular Scout
Gimbly                      Regular Grenadier
Raiden Morana         Grenadier Corporal
Vince Valentine        Grenadier Sergeant    (Leading)

Our mission was simple. Swagger into the caverns of fire, and cast the cursed 'dark sapphire' to the flames. And Swagger we did! through all manner of foul beasts.
Why, there was even one made of fire, which Gimbly lit his cigar on before kicking t's ugly head off! Rarr! Seems smoking IS bad for you eh eh? Well, it was for the evil beast anyways....

Ohhh burn!

Deeper we went, slaying old geezers, boney geezers and even a couple of firey horses. You'd need a hell of a saddle to ride one of those, i can tell you

We eventually came to a stairway that seemed to take us into the heart of the caves.
So down we went, ever ready for any threat that reared it's head.

Where's the lift?

The first threat was....cobwebs. Not the scariest of threats, granted, but they could get in your eyes and.....yes, well.....
Anyway, we ventured on, until we saw a building. hat's right, a building, in the middle of this awful place!
Unfortunatly the folk that lived there wern't the type you could borrow a cup of sugar off, if you get my meaning. They're more likely to  burn you alive, and beat your still warm corpse. So we attacked! It sounded like they were having a bit of a party as we charged in, but we soon set them straight!

Crappest party ever

We found ourselves in a rather plush room, with expensive looking rugs decorating the floor. Gimbly suggested taking one for the Baron, and Raiden suggested setting them alight. So we compromised! One set alight, and one for the Baron. Tis the Grenadier way. Unfortuantly Kal had to leave us at this point.

Well, it'll save them alot of hoovering

We carried on, until we reached a lair of old geezers, furious that we'd disturbed them. They were probably halfway through a game of dominoes or something, silly old gits. Unfortunatly i lost my painting of them, as we had to beat a hasty retreat. Those old geezers are as mean as they look!

We decided that a pool of lava, which we'd seen earlier, was a fine place to toss the 'dark sapphire'
So in it went! *Splosh*   *Hisss*   *Crackle*
Our job done, we headed back to Cove, where i split up the gold recovered and congratulated the men on a damn fine job. Finest of the fine, manlyest of men indeed!

Aye a lesson to all guardsmen! Nay interrupt old geezers playin' dominoes!

Mission accomplished! Dodgey gem destroyed and dodgey rug stolen acquired for the Baron's quarters!

Another Covian victory and some harsh Grenadier justice handed out in the dungeon too!

Well done Sarge!
