For the last few days, a raging battle has been tearing throughout Trinsic. All manner of evil beings had taken hold to the city center. The trees in the park had gone wild, attacking citizens and guardsmen alike. A range of horrors were emerging from craters across Trinsic, the likes of which have never been seen before. Foul smelling and poisonous piles of goo, ethereal wyrms, jet black elementals, and glowing vortexes of black wind are a few of the evils that awaited. Never the less, a Covian guardsman is bound to his/her duty, and off we set to the sandstone walls of Trinsic...

Hoagie shuffled his feet in line, as Shadwell threatened him with yet another demotion. Luckily,  Grenadier corporal Raiden Morana, leading the lineup, gave the assembled guardsmen their briefing shortly afterwards, and before Hoagie could have his badge removed, they were on their way.

We marched off towards the moongate, struggling through the snow. Everyone was relieved to get through to Trinsic, where it was much warmer, and we could stand comfortably without the harsh wind stinging our eyes. We slowly began to make our way to the South Gate.

On the way to the gates, we encountered a large outpost, manned by people seeming to be manned by Royal Marksmen. Not having the time to dilly dally, we marched forward, finally lining up at the south gate. Commander Shadwell gave a quick briefing before we proceeded into the city center, readying ourselves for the fight to come.

As we arrived at the bridge near the Keg, we were set upon by a horde of monsters. A great ethereal wyrm bore down on us, while summoning undead beings to its aid. Rushing to action, we formed up, bringing the beasts down with team work, and good healing all around.

After a long battle, we began making our way across the bridge. An action we would soon regret. A black whirlwind of dust tore across the path, heading right towards us. It became apparent that we would not be able to take this on. We were soon defeated, and forced to regroup further away.

We gathered at the healers, preparing to set up the appropriately named... FORT OF DOOM. We manned the fort for a short while, Raziel luring back all manner of beasts for us to slay.

Finally, we decided to move on, our Baron Octiovus mourning the death of Chelmsford, and deciding her wanted a new horse! a better horse! An eight legged, flame resistant horse!

We made a quick trip to the Stables, selecting a fine new minister of transport, and getting a snack on the way home! A resounding victory for Cove!

A fine report Hoagie!

Ye should do 'em more often eh?! *smirks a little*

Alas we were always fighting a losing battle against far superior odds, though we did dent their numbers and offered the Trinsicans a little respite.

Plus the Baron got a new horse so the mission could be considered a minor success. *shifty eyes*

Well done lads 'n' lasses!

We still managed a little stomping and swagger!
