Having lined up we were given our orders by Captain Hoagie. Our objective was to take and hold a fort in Yewian territory in order to deny them the use of it and expand our own influence over the area. The fortification is located on the Yew-Minoc road at a strategic chokepoint between the northern seas and the mountains to the south.

Having taken the fort with no resistance, Hoagie gave the order to secure our position by contructin barricades at the entrance. The fine Covian made walls went up quickly and the defenders took up their places. All this was done to the tune of fine Goblin singing!

The Yewians soon appeared and wasted nay a moment in assaulting our position. Their first attack failed miserably and they stumbled away with missing eyebrows and scorched backsides!
While they regrouped outside arrows and bolts flew at us but we held strong. A second assault soon hit our barricades, this one better organized. A violent struggle soon ensued as they tore down a section of the wall and engaged our front line. The vicious close quarters melee continued until we were forced to withdraw.
We had lost our defensive position but not our determination! Hoagie quickly formed us up and we set off to retake the fort.
Unfortunately the battle swayed against us and again we were forced to pull back, but not before giving many Yewians a good thumping on the head mind you!
