Hoagies training tonight sure wasn't for the weak, he drove us to absolute exhaustion! We worked us like animals and made us suffer!
This evenings training started with 5 laps of the arena but we had to do 10 push ups after each lap!
Hoagie then informed the trainees that every so offen a solider will have to carry a wounded soilder from the battlefield.
He asked me (Faden Wildheart) how far I could carry a man. I replied "What armour is he wearing", Hoagie said "ring armour", I repied with "whats in his pack (knowing that added weight slow down a man and adds more strain)". Hoagie was not impressed and screamed out "He has a walrus in his pack!". I sharpy replied... "so what about the weather? (of course knowing that rain, snow and the heat causes a man to slow down for various reasons)". Hoagie was getting quite irritated by this point and wanted to know an estimate... I simply said "100 miles". Hoagie was impressed by my great skill.
We now had to proceed to the second task of the night... the piggy back challenge. Get a team mate on your back and do 5 laps around the arena... holy avatar! this was a task and a half, Mela was so stunned it took her around 5 minutes to wake up from the shock.
So a fair while later, the arena covered in sweat the tired, worn out teams had completed this task.
The third challenge was Bulldog which was great fun. Demarian was the bulldog and at first wasn't too good at his task until insulted.
After a few people became Bulldogs my heart was pounding as I doged blade and club. People started to fall and became bulldogs until me and Marcus were left... he pushed me infront of the gang of bullies as we ran and I was taken down hard.. he won and I was not impressed.
The training was over, the trainees left the arena beaten and battered holding their bleeding wounds.
A note to all soliders, do not take Hoagie training as just another training session. It shows the men from the boys and women from the girls and is definately not for the weak hearted.
Sketches will be provided by Mela Arkay as I did not have my pencil and paper. I have prepared myself for next time... I mean I have my materials to draw, I don't think anyone can ever be ready for Hoagies training.
Blame Mela for the awful sketches
