Appearance:Marcus is a large, broad shouldered man. His hair is black usually kept in a braid and his eyes are a ice blue. He bears a scar just over and under the right eye, a slashing wound that almost cost him the eye. His body is covered in a slew of other scars, marks, and brands. All accumulated in too few years.

Work Description:Marcus works hard to keep in shape as he wears heavy armour during his hours of duty. Hard working and determined he expects nothing less from those around him, often parroting the orders of his senior officers when others are slow to act.
Personality:Marcus was a bit morbid, and sometimes quiet. Due to his marriage he has become a rather loud and bosterous sort, often bragging about his bedroom escapades.
He carries a most profound respect for the dead. Though killing and blood do not bother him, it is a task he wishes he were not so well suited for.
Background:Marcus originally grew up in Magencia, where had he shown the aptitude or will he should have become a mage... a sorcerers blood runs in his veins. But at 16 he left Magencia and began working the docks in vesper. From those days on he has heard of Cove, of the barons grenadiers but the most talk, often in hushed whispers from old veterans is of the Dragoons, fierce men and some rumor women, who harry and harrassenemy front lines opening huge gaps which the regular army puts to advantage. By age 19 he owned his own vessel, a small skiff, suitable for racing, fishing, and was leased for raids then eventually commandeered for war efforts. From that time he has served small armies and private lords.
-Has served in the Barons army for over eight years.
-Served in the Borderwars Campaign but saw more service within the hospitals rather than on the battle field.
-Begrudgingly joined "The Company" with the rank of Mercenary equivalent to his former rank of Junior Guardsmen. Becomes the companies only Medic.
-Begins commission as an Officer Cadet but soon resigns his commission.
Reputation:He is seen as a dedicated son of The Church
Considered the most well educated in the medical professional within Cove.
Beliefs:Marcus follows the teachings of Avatar, and to a point those of the Northern Chapter of the Avatarian faith.
Time line of events:
In the Year 329, The year Trinsic fell Marcus is born to parents Claire and Mathias Kobra.
Age 6 or 7: Father Mathias Kobra departs for Ilshenar never to be seen again. Magencia rejoices.
Age 8: His Mother Claire no longer bolstered by the terrible power of her husband his forced to "send" her son of to become
a mage. the horrible truth being that she has taken money from the Guild so that they could harness the great potential
of Mathias' heir, a tool and weapon for Magencia.
Age 15: A mysterious fire engulfs the guild hall and Marcus flees, never to been seen in Magencia again.
Age 16: He leaves his mother Claire and Magencia behind, finds himself in Vesper where he eeks out a meager living.
Age 19: Works the docks till 19 years old when he purchases his own Skiff. Becomes an avid sailor.
Age 20: Vesperian army commandeers his skiff. He moves on to fight in the Mercenary band "La poche d'argent" where he
served in the groups first wave fighters "First bloods".
Age 21: Shortly after his bloody stint with "La Poche" he joined yet another mercenary band: "Shield Walls" he served them
on their shield line, suffered the scar over his eye in a rearguard effort. served 1 year and 6 months, then moved back to
vesper and joined her militia for more regular work.
Age 23: Leaves Vesperian Militia and joins The Army of Cove. Later disappears whilst on medical leave.
Age 24: One year to the day of his joining The Barons Army he is promoted without ceremony to the position of Watchman.
The same year, Barron Octiovus takes an indefinite leave of absence with a final order to disband the mighty Dragoons.
Marcus' hope and aspirations of becoming a Dragoon are destroyed and he begins to focus on his faith.
Age 25: The Avatarian Church returns to Cove, Marcus' dark past may come to light.
- That year he formally adopts the orphan Tristan as his son and sole heir.
- The grand Army of Cove disbands and its members scatter, only a few men and women, loyal to Cove and its peoples,
remain behind and form "The Company" patroned by the Baron Octiovus Von Richter.
- Becomes Officer Cadet but merely months later he resigns his commission and returns to the position of Mercenary within
the Company.
- He and his fiancee Rose elope in order to seal their marriage before the birth of their "first" son. Rose suffering from
amnesia is lead to believe that he is in fact their second.
Age 26: The coffers again overflow with silver and gold and gems; Thus the Grand Covian Army is reformed, for his services
in the Border Wars campaign and to the Baronship, Marcus is duly promoted to Regular Guardsman and receives his
Staple Belt.
- Inducted as a Baron's Own Grenadier and receives his Bronze arms.
- Resigns position with Barons Own Grenadiers.
- Expecting his third child Marcus takes a personal leave of absence.
- The Altmere Uprising takes place, Marcus's home is burned ot the ground presumably by insurrectionists. His wife and children are killed.
Age 27: Marcus returns from his leave to yet again stare into the maw of uncertainty as billets lay long unfilled and
numerous officer positions stand derelict; the army is obviously floundering as is the economy of his beloved Cove.
Age 28: Marcus permanently resigns his duty from the army as a retiree and opens his own small clinic near the Altmere
borders. He offers services to any traveler and those within the borders of Cove and Vesper.
Age 31: Seeing the lands ravaged by Guardian spawn and other lesser evils, Marcus answers the call to serve and rejoins
the Covian Army, he is joined by many old friends.
