Ryan Greystone: "Very well here's your kryss, shield, badge, and armor." "There's a patrol out at a dungeon that's taking some heat from some dragons, get yer ass there right away." Kurt Alimar: "Aye Sir!"---
After dressing up in his uniform Kurt waited outside with two other recruits. Once a blue moongate had opened another bronze clad man stepped in an led them through. Once on the other side of the gate the man told the to stay close, and led them in to a dark cave that was only lit by a lantern. Once the Kurt came into site of the guardsmen, he caught a glance of a recruits upper torso torn to shreds.---
Kurt Alimar: "Guardsman Recruit, Kurt Alimar reporting for duty sir!"Grizzled Guardsman: "We don't give a rats arse what yer name is!" "Ye'll probably die like all the other fresh meat we get here anyway!"Gregor Eason: "Listen up!" "We're going to take another wack at that wyrm that ate those other recruits." "Ye three new recruits are going to replace them at the front." "Don't move out of line or you're dead!"Kurt and the other Recruits: "Aye Sir!"---
After being briefed, Kurt gazed down the tunnel into the darkness wondering if these were his last moments for the first time in his life. The 18 year old recruit moved down into the darkness with the other guardsmen and formed in the darkness. While waiting there was a loud roar, and one of the nervous recruits freaked out and ran into the darkness. The sound of his screams ended with a crunch and body parts flying from the darkness.---
Guardsman: "Stupid arse recruits no wonder they die so fast."Gregor Eason: "Here it comes, stay formed recruits and ye will survive!"---
In the darkness the guardsmen fought, and as they fought Kurt grew to trust the men he was fighting with. He stabbed the beast in the eye with his kryss, and when that had happened the beast was skewerd by the rest of the squad. After the beast was slain Kurt walked up to the beasts eye and removed his kryss as a trophy. ---
Guardsman: "Yer nay to bad, perhaps ye may not die a horrible death afterall." "What's your name?"Kurt Alimar: "My name is Kurt Alimar"Gimbly: "Well Kurt welcome to the army, and be ready because in a few days we're going to need ye to help on the Kaldorian Line, that's where the real action is."Part II:
