Right, now... I know i havn't been around much and you guys probably don't respect any of the authority/respect/friendship i had once upon a time...

Yet there is a thing that has been bugging me for a long time...

THIS HERE FORUM.

There was once a babble board, that i know everyone loved and cherished however, the time of babble is DEAD, this here forum is designed to be helpful to new recruits, show them what this guild is about, and what is Cove about if it isn't about discipline!? I know the title is OOC board, and well i guess everything is out of character technically yet this is not supposed to be a board that is designed for babble, it should bring GAME/GUILD related issues to the attention of those that can change things.

I have noticed a decrease in posts about issues that people have and in game questions that people have because the board is swamped with topics about new films/what people are doing/funny things.. This in my eyes must stop. So the final note is..

Keep things GUILD related please.

(I know i am guilty of posting in topics about random things  and i know this appears hypocritical but i am now changing my ways and i hope others will follow me.

More paying attention to OOC threads such as "Displaying Skills on MYUO", "Erik's RP Additions" & "OOC Board".

*eyes*

Use this board for OOC debate about in game concerns and BoC/genre related topics.

Keep babble to icq you goonies!

Well, that's a good point, mistah Feather.

Ofkoz I have lots to work on in this matter, and I'm glad that someone pointed this problem.

So I suppose we should lock the picture thread then?

Also how do you define what's OOC? Anything that is related to Ultima? Or just BoC? How does my Ultima the Gathering fit into all of this!?

Imho the picture thread relates to the guild players, and the Ultima Gathering thread relates to the guild players' characters.

Well isn't personal threads the same as the picture thread then? In the sense of it being about players of the guild

I wouldn't have thought there would be the need for too much debate about this...

UO/BoC/Player/Genre related topics are acceptable...

Non-useful comments in useful threads, babble, inflammatory posts regarding wars/religion/politics and general mindless drivel is unacceptable and has no place on a forum dedicated to the Ultima Online RP Guild - the Baronship of Cove and it's players.

In short... More quality! Less crap!

Well, IMO all posts *without* pictures should be removed.

on the other hand...
You are right, that everything posted somehow relates to the people => characters => BoC (like the many "What's your favorite..." threads) but for example the recent discussion about the movie "300" is too much.

Also all personal threads cannot be recognised as spam, because which other way could you inform about a 2 week pause from UO?

Like Raiden said,
More quality, less crap.
(should be made the motto of the entire forum)

Examples of acceptable (in my opinion) recent threads:

The Candle of Love
Ultima the Gathering
UO KR and Stygian Abyss

Examples of unacceptable (in my opinion) recent threads:

300
April's Fools
Eason's Past: Professional Killer (sorry Eason, would just as easily have fitted in the pictures thread >.<)

Though this could just be a job for a shiney new mod to deal with...

Overall mods are doin' a piece of good work here, but indeed, the 'sieve' on the OOC boards could be more dense.

Yeah, because, you know, babble is bad and such!

Why is it ALWAYS the most useless babbling types that reply to such a thread.
How about you start thinking to yourself "Hmm, if I shut up, maybe that helps?"

Also, is the forum REALLY that bad if there is some babble on the boards?
I don't think so. I believe it keeps things light and sociable.
So why don't we hypocrites all shut the bork up and just leave things as they are?
Cheers!

(yeah, I locked this topic as well)

This topic serves a purpose in defining what is not alright and what is. While you saying that it is only people who babble that respond to these threads just seems as if you are contradicting yourself.
